Absolutely! Back in full death/grind mode now.

Speaking of which NP - EXHUMED - Slaughtercult (2000)

Really enjoyed watching the documentary last night, so I will be giving this and 'Gore Metal' a few spins over the next few days, and picking up a few more albums asap.

I don't know what it is but I still can't get into pre-split Autopsy, and yet I love the majority of what they've put out since reforming. I gave Mental Funeral another spin a while back and it sounded a bit better but I have no interest in playing any of their 'classic' stuff at all.

I love all of their stuff personally.

It's weird the way you sometimes click with certain albums or periods of a band. I stuck 'Pleasures Pave Sewers' by Lock Up on lately, and I certainly enjoyed it, but it never quite hits like 'Hate Breeds Suffering', which is one of my favourite albums of all time. And their later albums don't really do it for me either. Nothing wrong with them, I do give them a spin now and then, but it's just not the same.

I love thise first two but everything after just rolls into one for me, didn't bother buying them. Might be the lack of Pintado.

Yeah, I think his presence was missed. And then with switching vocalists, and a new drummer on the last one.

Speaking of which, I wonder how Barker is holding up, with the whole kidney failure thing last year? Savage drummer.

Gatecreeper, back catalogue,  great band

I've seen photos of him at a gig (Napalm, I think) recently, he looked to be in good form/shape.

That's good news anyway. Such a beast of a player, even if his bands/sessions haven't always been to my taste. Although I do like the first Cradle album, and of course he played live with Exodus, Nuclear Assault, and Testament.

Monstrosity - Imperial Doom
Diabolic - Infinity Through Purification
Vile - Stench of the Deceased
Miasmatic Necrosis - Apex Profane (scratched the itch that Exhumed couldn't)
