Easy now, the first three albums are brilliant. Shadows Fall were brilliant, the 2 guitarists could shred with the best of them and Unearth had some savage albums as well.

I couldn't take to any of those bands being honest!

The Art Of Balance by Shadows Fall is a ripper as is The Oncoming Storm by Unearth.

Canadian Death metal however I'm OK with so this morning was the Coprolith and Incinerous demos. Finnish and Swedish copycats respectively, but both at a higher level than the usual.
Gave that Coprolith a spin earlier and it was great.  Followed by a rake of Full of Hell to get in gear for the gig at the weekend.

I had a fair bit of enjoyment from God Forbid's "Gone Forever" way back when.

Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed and Chimaira if memory serves. Never liked KE but Hatebreed and Chimaira had a couple of decent albums each.

NP: Anthrax playlist on me phone.

Callous Master "Inceptio" (it's daylight and I'm wearing clothes, just for context).
I was saying it to John and Shaun the other night, and it really comes through on the tape -  I love the fact I can hear a little bit of Amebix and Sacrilege coming through there amongst the early black metal influences.

Rudimentary Peni going on next I think.

Really looking forward to hearing them. I'll hold out for the demo or album, whichever comes first, as postage to Oz is nutty.

Trying post-Seasons Slayer again, don't know why I bother, though. It's fucking shite, overall, with the odd decent riff. Actually, fuck that, even the riffs aren't fit to be a SNM cast-off.

Marillion - Script for a jesters tear, Misplaced Childhood.

A band bar the obvious singles that I've never listened to but keep being drawn to for some reason. I said fuck it let's see what it's all about. Glad I bothered.

Anathema - Alternative 4.
It's been a looooong time since I've given this one a spin. Enjoying it today though I must say.

I only ever got into the Fish-era (their first four), but it's all amazing.

Make sure you give their second album Fugazi a go as it features "Jigsaw", which I think is their best song.

New Crawling is top drawer
Will definitely be purchasing this
