There were a few in the 80's hardcore scene - Minor Threat, The Faith/Void split, Rites of Spring.

Altus Astrum 'Antediluvian'. A brilliant overlooked local release that deserved so much more praise and attention than it received.

Demilich's  Nespithe is a true masterpiece. It's a pity they never did anything else although I think they still play the odd show. Your can hear their influence in a lot of death metal bands today like Tomb Mold and Outer Heaven.

Ripping Corpse
Repulsion
Spiral Architect
Twisted Into Form
Decomposed (OK they had an EP so I guess thats cheating)
Carnage (possibly cheating also as they became Dismember)

There's a few more gems I can't think of right now.

There's only three or four new songs on that so can't really call it an album as such - most of the album is live stuff.

Bigger Than The Devil is class.

Do Death (the punk band from the 70's) only have one album as far as I know. Really good early punk
