Showtime, That Total Age, Ebbhead, Industrial Complex are a few I like.

Nice one. I'll have a listen.

Ebbhead was where I got on board. Took a long time to come around to it but it's a personal favourite now, the recent remaster is great on headphones. Belief is another great one, as is the... As Is EP.

If you're into early Depeche Mode you'd find a lot to like in NE, they were on the same label, Flood worked with both, etc.

Must check out Belief, don't think I've heard the remaster of Ebbhead, must rectify that.

I know that the Beach Boys were influential and on a certain level I can appreciate why for the production values, quality of songs etc but they never did it for me, and I have tried, the same could be said for the Beatles, however I'm starting to appreciate the Beatles a lot more in recent years, perhaps I'm musically maturing? who knows, perhaps the same will happen to the Beach Boys? who knows, however artists like Brian Wilson are legends and its sad to deep them pass into history..RIP

Nitzer Ebb are similar to Depeche Mode, but they're more butch.

That Total Age is a great album.

I listened to a few songs off Ebbhead last night. Very cool. NIN-ish sounding stuff I thought. The artwork is really cool on it. Is it a real Gilbert and George piece or a tribute?

And Sly Stone gone as well this week. Massive talent.

Tribute, I think. The cover credits say "Video by State. Image grab by Vertikal."

Ah cool. I really like their work although I haven't seen any of it in years. I remember one I saw possibly in the Tate Modern twenty odd years ago with the two boys surfing on a giant turd

Just seen that and popping in to post it. Will be dusting a few of his records off over the weekend.

"If You Want Me To Stay" is one of the reasons I picked up a bas guitar (Sly played that bassline himself too).

Cracking song. Mercury Rev had a decent cover of it in their early days, a bit tongue in cheek but worth a listen.

The Sly Stone doc on Disney that Questlove from The Roots did us well worth watching.

Yes, what a genius. His backing band amazing, Larry Graham on bass holding it down.

God I haven't heard that in years (ahh back when MR were good). Even tongue in cheek it was better than  the RHCP version
