That is a good tune, to be fair

Threw it on this evening and it struck me for the first time that the theme tune to True Detective season 1 is quite similar to it.

Perry Bamonte, guitarist for The Cure. 65, after "a short illness".

He played on Wish, Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers and The Cure, plus Show, Paris, Acoustic Hits, Trilogy and Songs Of A Live World.

He looked so ancient in the show I saw recently. He looked more like 85 than 65. RIP.

Chris Grimmett aka the Chris in chrisguitars.com - He was a pioneer in selling used guitars cheaply on the internet back in the day, I'm sure there are a few here who bought from him.

Michael Embro. Original drummer with Canadian thrashers Razor. Just 63. No age. RIP.

Good band, RIP.

I don't know how many here would have known him, but there's always been some crossover here some  the punk/hc  scene here over the years  so I said I'd pass it on in case..Dave Gormely who wplayed Stomach and Roosky, and ran the old Noiseland rehearsal studio with Mero, passed away this morning from cancer unfortunately.

One of the first peple in the local scene I got to know when I was getting more into the punk and hc end of things first. Absolute gentleman, funny fucker and an excellent drummer. Introduced me to a lot of cool older American  stuff, the liks of Government Issue and Naked Raygun in particular. He'd been working as a tour guide around Dublin the last few years. Lovely fella. May he rest in peace.

No way. My first punk gig was the Strikniën/ Monkhouse release gig in 96. Petty sure Stomach played that too. RIP.

I saw them somewhere around that time, probably that gig.  Good band, I didn't know the man but I'm sure I'd have met him at some stage. RIP

Scott Adams. Died with, but not of, the anti-woke mind virus.

Also a dig at a hateful piece of shit who was anti-vaxx hated women, and supported the Paedo-In-Chief.
