Never saw them but I do like them, the first album and Turns Into Stone B-sides compilation are both stellar, and the second album is alright too. I didn't realise how long he was in Primal Scream either, 15 years. I thought he'd done an album cycle as a session player but no.

Edit. Im a clem.

Mani played bass, Reni was the drummer. Either way, a tight rhythm section there.

His bass playing on XTRMNTR is sublime.

Indeed, the only PS album I'd be bothered about.

Must get onto watching that Stones Roses documentary!

RIP, great player.

Just listening to a few tracks, 'Daybreak' is a great example of his tone and playing.

Looking like Rob Reiner has gone. Possibly murdered in his home!

Yeah confirmed now. One of his kids has been taken into custody.

Fucking hell. Spinal Tap 2 can't have been THAT bad.

James Ransone (Ziggy from The Wire and loads of other shows and movies) dead at 46.

Chris Rea. There are puns.

I used to love that song of his "Lets Dance" RIP

Not Driving Home For Christmas, then?

Chris Rea will always have a place in my heart. After doing the leaving cert in 99 I went to Turkey for a week or ten days on the piss with my mates. One of the days we went to a water park and it was gas, sun beating down, families flying about having a whale of a time and blasting through the speakers- "this is the road to hell..."

RIP.

Edit. I just fired the song on having not heard it in many years. It's a belter. Sweet and gloomy all the way through with quite brilliant lyrics, which I'd never paid any attention to before.
