RIP Redford.

Still reeling about oul Goatspell. Haven't been hughely interested in the post reformation ATG but I can't stress enough how formative their intial run was to me, and Grotesque likewise, they're both all over any metal band I've been in (my parts of "Titan" by Vircolac were 100% me trying to write soemthing off "the Red In the sky" for example). him and Svensson were the magic ingredients to that era. He seemed like an absolute lifer, and the few I know who've met him have said he was a gent. Very glad I got to see them live finally in the Academy that time.

Whoa, You had a hand in Titan (and obviously Vircolac)? Never copped who you were, fair play man, that's a killer track and interesting to hear how you incorporated an early ATG influence there.

Absolute shocked to hear of Tompa's passing, I knew he was ill but this seemed to follow incredibly quick on the heels of that news. What a legacy of visionary Metal to bequeath us all. R.I.P.

First two riffs in that song are mine, and were originally written with a different tempo in mind that probably would have made the ATG influence more obvious. It came out more like Grotesque though once played at that speed.


Just remembered as well Lindberg did the Darkthrone logo. His fingerprints are everywhere.
