I didn't even know there was a singer before Di'Anno, although I'm no maiden buff, is that all the original singers gone now or is there another original singer in waiting?

anyway....RIP

D'ianno was the first stable singer I think, but they had a few before him.

He was only in the band for less than a year, Denis Wilcock replaced him before Dianno came along, neither of them ever recorded anything though

Erik Wunder of Cobalt/Man's dead, he was only 42. Wasn't into the last Cobalt record but everything else he put his name to ruled, Gin being the obvious highlight.

No way. How did he die? Those dudes seemed a bit troubled.

Gin was a fantastic thing, that's no age to die.

Quite liked the last record myself,.sad news , RIP
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

The Man's Gin stuff sounded really good but I never picked up the CD. I must give it a spin on YouTube later.

Mans Gin is great, worth going back to.

Nowhere is reporting anything about cause of death, I kinda feel it may have been suicide but I'm pulling that from my hole.

Gin is a brilliant album, that's the only one I have .
Dead at 42, I thought that band were older for some reason.

That's a shock yeah agreed on the last Cobalt. Gonna lash Gin on and into me this evening as a mark of respect fucking 42

Metal Archives have listed cause of death as heart failure, which (if true) is downright cruel for a fella his age.

Gonna bang "Gin" on now.

According to Phil from Hooded in Oil he was POS that let his dog starve while he got high.

The dangers of drugs. I'm assuming if one is addicted to hard drugs, menial tasks like feeding yourself, let alone your pet, slip further and further down your list of priorities. Not to make excuses, as such, more of an observation. I find thinking about junkies fills me with conflicting emotions from disgust to pity and ultimately a sense of relief that it isn't something I've had to contend with.
