Not sure if I should sell the seated tickets in cases the standing don't work  I'll probably bring both to the gig and chance the standing will work. I dunno

I'm in a sort of similar boat. Bought seated, decided wanted standing instead (before they posted about the offer to change to standing) sold the seated through Ticketmaster and bought standing. That was grand, received my standing tickets not too long after. Then a couple of weeks ago I receive new standing tickets with the order number of the original seated tickets that were sold months ago. I get they send tickets before you sell them sometimes but no idea why I'm recieving more tickets for the ones I sold months after the person who bought them would have received them. I suppose I'll just bring both tickets too just in case.

Yeah its ok. Better than that god awful "Blood and Chaos" single off of the last album but not as good as the albums stronger tracks.  In the press release they said the new single was the first written for the new album so it sounds the most like the last album, or something to that effect. Apparently the new album has more of an 80's goth rock vibe, they even go as far as to say one of the songs is a "guaranteed dancefloor-filler at any discerning goth nightclub",  at least that means the single isn't a reflection of the sound of the album.

Guitarist/ Vocalist/ Bassist looking for drummer. In our 20's with college/ work so semi serious, constantly writing, really just looking for a drummer to jam with and see wherever it takes us. Influences range from The Cure/ The Smiths to bands like Converge, Morbid Angel/ Dillinger Escape Plan/ Deftones/  Gorguts/ Katatonia/ Acid Bath/ Corrosion of Conformity/ Akercocke. Shoot us a reply if you're interested.

Akercocke - Renaissance in Extremis
Class comeback album, up there with their best stuff.  New Sacred Reich is quality too. Love how natural the production sounds. Another 1 up for Monotheist too. Hot take depending on who you ask but its Celtic Frost's best album in my opinion.  It doesn't bother me that much that they didn't follow it up as at least sonically the Triptykon stuff does.

Sepultura, Mastodon, Kerbdog are the standouts to me. Hoped there would be a Sepultura type band added, didn't think we'd actually get them!

More bands being announced at 5 today, can't see anyone else that big being announced but hopefully another At The Gates type of band are added. Too much fluff on the bill.

Quite enjoy this one, probably more than half of the tracks on Icon. I find it to be a bit of a transitional album. Track feels like a tease of what was to come with Draconian Times.

€140!
Rather head to a festival in Europe with a lot more bands I want to see that would probably cost the same

140 is a lot? I think its mad cheap for FNM, Deftones, Killing Joke, Jesus and Mary Chain, At The Gates and Helmet, ( And Gojira I suppose),Yeah it's annoying that its in Punchestown but you can't honestly say its more effort to get there than to go abroad to a different festival
Not saying it's less effort to get to a festival abroad, but more worthwhile. €170 for a nights camping, plus whatever costs of transport and overpriced shit pints, or €250ish to head over for Brutal Assault

Great to see something like this back in Ireland, just a bit too rich for me
I'm just happy we're actually getting something remotely resembling the festivals they get abroad, lol.

Excited for this, probably my favorite COF album.  after Midian it all ranges from passable to absolute muck to me.  The mix on the original is pretty crap, took me ages to listen past it and actually get into the songs, as said before the drums just sound so clicky.

Excited for this, their debut was brilliant. Artwork certainly catches the eye, I actually like it.

Amazon is great, they have almost everything and albums go as low as 10 pounds so only around 12/13 euro.  Usually free shipping over 20 too so you can grab 2 albums for as little as 25 euro sometimes. places like EMP are good for value usually too but they don't have everything. For second hand stuff Discogs of course, if its relatively old albums you're after and you don't care that much about first pressings you can usually find a copy in decent nick for 10 euro.
