Anthrax have a series about the history of the band, an episode a day I think, with 40 in total. Up to 10 at the moment. Interesting viewing, done on Zoom with variable talking heads (Corey Taylor's some flute):

40 episodes? I thought it was just up until 'Persistence..' which is where Joey left, cos they don't talk much about the John Bush era at all, it might as well not exist. Was surprised to see Henry Rollins in this though like Corey Taylor, he's in everything now too. Never would have pegged him as an Anthrax fan though 🤔.

That's a good one. Might fire it on here now.

Watched the first half of Mean Man about Chris Holmes last night. Its interesting enough that I'll watch the rest later but nothing spectacular. Although I was never much of a WASP fan so that could be why it's not really gripping me

No interest in Wasp either but was interesting enough.

Well the series is called 40 For 40, in line with the band's 40th anniversary, so I'm assuming there'll be 40 episodes, maybe not. Either way, it's much more interesting than I'd exoected so far, I spent a couple of hours watching the first 10 the other night.

Watched the Jason Becker "Not Dead Yet" documentary during the week. Had it downloaded for ages and only got around to it now as I'm laid up at the minute.
Interesting enough watch.
Obviously talented young fella, but fuck me ALS ravaged him quick when it took hold. Cruelly cut down in his prime.

Re: The Anthrax series - this is the trailer for it. Up to no. 14 now, going by the description it's gonna cover all of the albums:

I fucking LOVE W.A.S.P. and Chris especially. Have seen his band live in Drogheda before corona hit. I was thrilled to finally see the man live, while on the other hand, it was quite sad to see him in front of 25 people in the audience.

Nice one for that Carnage. I watched a bit of the first episode last night, it flows really nicely. I'm looking forward to catching up with the rest, and a live stream on 16th July, grand job.

Yeah, considering it's all done on Zoom and with old footage, it works really well.

Cool archive footage,  Muskelrock fest gets a good rep as they treat him like a King compared to the rest.
Well worth returning to watch if seen already, all in all hilarious and tearful at the same time.  Hopefully since the comeback he´s left that flipping rubber skull belt back in the wardrobe  ;D
