Just watched the Gibson Icons Kirk Hammett episode. I really enjoy this series, the Iommi one is great. Listening to Kirk Hammett for over an hour is difficult.

I've a few beers bought for this evening so I'm going to catch up on the last few episodes of the Enslaved documentary. I've watched the first four and so far it's great. Really down to earth dudes with sound parents too

Been watching a tonne of those on Youtube the last few days. What a great bunch. Led me to this vid of Grutle's favourite albums. No wonder his music strikes such a note with me.

I also enjoyed some of their views on music and particularly BM where they talk about the respect for the art as opposed to the individual, which the 'stardom' aspect muddied subsequently. They talk about it here at around 16 mins..very cool. I think.their way of looking at music is a big reason why I am subconsciously drawn to them. With many other groups from the same 'genre', the individual/stardom factor seems to be the overriding focus despite claims to the contrary. There's something very pure in what they do, or at least did, from my perspective.

It all boils down to music but I'm all for a few nutty rock stars and infamous anti- heroes too  8)

Yeah so am I, who am I fooling  :abbath:

What would metal be without a few loopers!

I watched the Ministry one "Fix" which was more about Al and his addiction then music, but I went looking for it months back it is impossible to find. Anyone any ideas our sites I might get it?

I saw that when it was released. Jaysus it was grim and no harm it was taken down, hahaha...

Is it as bleak as the one on Pentagram? Harrowing stuff that, yer man Bobby is a  mess

Far worse than the Pentagram one I would say. Although my heart absolutely broke for Bobby's parents to be fair.

Just spent the evening watching the Enslaved docs. Can only echo what's been said above, they seem like genuinely sound heads who're all about the music. Looking forward to the next few.

Watching that now myself. Very enjoyable so far. The two lads really seem like the best of mates. Pure music nerds too.

That Amon Amarth one is decent now. Where are ye watching the Enslaved one lads?
