Would be great to see more of the Fractured videos made in the future

Pretty sure John is done with them permanently.

I watched The Godfathers Of Hardcore (Agnostic Front documentary) last night, pretty interesting though I'm not the biggest fan of the band.

Just finished Such Hawks, Such Hounds, an overview of the whole 'stoner' rock thing, without going too deeply into any of the bands. Not bad, hardly essential.

Had a look at Lemmy on Netflix over the weekend.  A pretty dire and clueless look at a rock n roll legend.  Snippets of talking heads with Slash, Duff, Ozzy, Alice Cooper.... and Billy Bob Thornton?! Everyone talking about how much he epitomizes rock n roll because he drinks and snorts and wears cowboy boots.  It's like they reached the halfway point and realised they hadn't actually given any background on the man's life so they started filling that in.  Pretty much a waste of time,  I thought.  Disappointing.

i enjoyed the Lemmy documentary, watched it again on next flix and noticed they snipped loads of scenes out of the original, most obvious was him talking and showing all his Nazi/WW2 memorabilia!

came across this documentary once of the best Metallica docs ive seen, very informative and so well put together lets hope, he makes a few more of these.

It's a great documentary, but Netflix took a shitload out of it for some reason. The Blu-ray is worth getting as the second disc or extended bits has more interesting stuff on it.

For rock stuff, Beyond the lighted stage is the Rush doc, it's very good. Also, Ain't in it for my health is deadly. It's about Levon Helm, singer and drummer with the Band, in his latter years. Tough old boy.

The Other One on Netflix is a good watch.

Lot of decent BBC ones on Youtube too.
I watched the Krautrock one last night, pretty good. That one is interesting from a cultural point of view too.

That's brilliant alright. I'd also recommend Kraftwerk And The Electronic Revolution, a 3-hour documentary about Kraftwerk and their legacy in particular, and Krautrock and its influence in general.

I watched the ZZ Top one on Netflix last night. It's alright, a decent overview but didn't go too deep into their lives or personalities. Worth a look.

Just spotted that Slave to the Grind is available in full here:

Seem to be a good few bands putting up full concerts, etc., too.

The ZZ Top one was a big disappointment. It's covers through to Eliminator and stops there. It doesn't mention anything after 1985. Utterly pointless, unless it's only Part One and Part Two is on the way.

That being said, Frank Beard talking about drugs was very, very funny.

The period covered suited me, though. Everything post-Eliminator has been shite.

At least Carcass were in it , albeit briefly, and there was a bit of a brawl, but Jesus, the amount of shit and spastics in Slave to the Grind!

Michael Hutchence - Mystify. Good in depth doc. About the same amount of good music as the former too  :)

Iggy Pop and Josh Homme's American Valhalla on now on YouTube for free...

Not really metal now, but watched the Eagles documentary the other day which is excellent for anyone who hasn't seen it. Definitely one of the best and in depth ones I've seen on a band. Clocks in around 3 hours though, one for a few cans 😄

I watched the Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers one (Runnin' Down A Dream) last night, guts of four hours that one. Brilliant stuff though.
