Hold off on the abuse yet!
they have one more card to be dealt.

This is it. You have Conan, cancer and hate so if it's a good headliner then the price should be justified. No point in giving out until the full line up is announced. And it will be a good headliner.

I feel like a bit of a prick for bringing it up now! The point still remains though. I have little doubt that the cost is entirely justified on a financial basis and the promoter is taking a very high risk of being personally out of pocket for a large sum of money - I am absolutely not attacking them, fair play for them for having the balls to do it and I genuinely hope it does well. But........€70+? I'm fortunate enough that the price isn't a problem for me but I'd be genuinely worried that it would severely limit ticket sales.

Aye 70 bean might be a tad expensive (sure throw in an extra tenner and get the 2 day for 80) but we will only know if it's appropriate after the full announcement.

Benediction last announcement, nice old school bang of this one now.

Nice addition, alright.

It's a whopper lineup, and all.
But im still not feeling the full whack price value for it though.

They overpriced the last Evil Eye fest and it should on the door, apparently.
I cant see that happening for this, though.
Totally different vibe and setup.

Glad I nabbed an early bird, all the same.
Just hope I can actually go that weekend, now.

Last year's wasn't too jammed at any point other than for Rotting Christ, from what I recall. And I'd imagine full prices for this would be harder to flog. RC probably set expectations unfairly, I'd say. It's still mad that they were actually there.

More about the day out and the venue, for me, so still glad I got the tickets of course.

What would you charge, out of interest, for a weekend ticket for that lineup?
I make big poos.

I know it's not easy. And the venue isn't cheap. Especially over 2 days, so there are obviously factors.
Plus! The ticket fees really scew the cost for punters, too.

But I'd have tried to keep the Saturday price the same as last year.
So what €56, I think... €60ish with fees.

And drop the Friday to probably €30... €33 with fees.

The weekend pass is a good deal, in fairness. But I'd still adjust a bit as per above... €75, even €70 maybe.

Your early bird was a pure bargain, though.

Regardless of what I think, though.
You have to cover your asses at the end of the day.

Priced like that, 80 percent of tickets would need to sell to break even. It's not feasible.
I make big poos.

Is Dave Ingram back doing vocals? Saw Benediction a little while ago and Dave Hunt said it was his last show

Yeah, Ingram is back roaring

I think this is a better lineup. Cancer have never been here right? Or if they have it's been aeons. Rotting Christ are in ireland loads, Cancer, Benediction  will have the novelty factor, I think there'll be more at this one.

Cancer haven't played here before.

I'd have thought it was a much better lineup too, to be honest. Can't please everyone though, it seems

I think Cancer  were ment to play Dublinback in the early 90s with Immolation but they got replaced ?(someone can probably clear that up).Benediction played Nancys around 94.
Im well happy as im a big fan of the old school DM bands, but as was mentioned above a lot of this fest is about socialising.Given the venue location it allows you to pop out somewhere else for a pint or food etc.
