Just when I thought I'd completed the collection, there's a remastered/expanded 30th anniversary reissue of Paris on the way:

New album out on the 1st of November, just pre-ordered the deluxe version (bonus disc of instrumental versions and a blu ray). The new songs slotted seamlessly into their set in Dublin a couple of years ago, so I'm expecting good things.

The marketing campaign was pretty cool with the poster outside the pub kicking it off. The last one was terrible though so hopefully they've learned something from that

Agree on both counts (just replace Bordeaux for Dublin).

New track sounds alright, roll on November.

His voice, live and on that new track, really is sounding as good if not better than ever.

Agreed. That song sounds decent alright, probable album opener.

Gave the whole night listening to The Cure last night just said Alexa play it and fuck me what a discography. The standard of their whole career is something else really the variation and yet it all sounds like them being them. What a band

Agreed,  what's your favourite albums

Off the top of my head probably Pornography, Disintegration and Faith but that would change if I gave another few minutes thinking about it. The only one I didn't really like was Wild Mood Swings and the last one was patchy enough as well iirc but I don't own that I only had it on YouTube. Hard to think of many bands with as many great tunes in the collection other than maybe Killing Joke

They'd be my pics as well. Maybe this was posted on MI before, can't remember where I came across it but it's great:

Wild Mood Swings isn't the best at all but has its moments. I wasn't too pushed about Wish either until the deluxe version came out a year or two back. The remaster did it wonders and it flows really well as an album. Nearly an indie/Madchester buzz off it, which you wouldn't think would work with such a bunch of melacholy fuckers, but it really does.

The Head On The Door, The Top & Disintegration for me I reckon, but that could change tomorrow. I'm in a good mood now so there we are.
