Hi to all, I am one of the many Italian guys living in Cork for work and a metalhead deep in the heart.

I've been in Cork city for a while but never been in touch with my tribe  :abbath: mostly because none of my friends here is into metal.

I really hope I can get into the local scene and having some serious craic.  :abbath: The metal type, ofc.

Hey folks. New here, obviously haha. A wannabe musician with a solo project under the band name "inner circles". If you are into mid era Katatonia or lighter paradise lost moments, you may be into it. I'll leave a link here, if that is allowed..?

Not hugely into the vocals but they might grow on me. Music sounds very good. I'll need to give it a full listen tomorrow.

Yeah I'm no vocalist haha, and that was my first singing attempt.
I'll have a new EP out soon where I approached it all very differently. Hopefully I did a better job with the vox on the new one!

We are aiming to specialise in signing and promoting avant-guarde black/death metal & industrial music. We are currently looking for fresh talent in these genres globally. We have heard that Ireland has a thriving underground metal scene with some bands that might fit the above criteria. If any of you have any recommendations in these genres. We are looking for bands that are similar to Forgotten Tomb, Necrot, Archgoat, Deathspell Omega, Burzum, Gallhammer, Swans, Godflesh etc. Merci beaucoup. À votre santé or slainte as you guys say!

Thank you very much. I shall look through that thread now and listen to some of the bands. Is it solely extreme black/death metal and industrial or other genres too? My time here is limited unfortunately so any band recommendations that fit the above criteria are most welcome. Merci beaucoup.

Hey all. Wexford metalhead here. I've been a metal fan since late 86/early 87 when I was a chap. I enjoy most styles of hard rock and metal from the 70's through to the early 90's, although I do listen to newer stuff too. As far as non-metal goes, I like some early punk, hardcore and post punk, classic prog and psych-folk, and 50's rockabilly & honky tonk. 

Also a fan of writers like Robert E Howard and HP Lovecraft, 60's and 70's action thrillers, classic westerns, and 80's action and fantasy, post apocalypse movies etc. 

I've played bass and sung in a few bands. Nothing professional or anything. Recording a few demos with a trad doom project later this year for the craic.

I haven't been involved in a forum since the old Terrorizer forum days, where I went by the name Wretch or Wretched Metal, if anyone here was on there at any stage.

Looking forward to the banter and debate.

Howya Wretch, I was on Tez as Sol. Cosmic Equilibrium is also here occasionally. He's still Wrong About Iron Maiden.

Nice one mate, how are things? I was in touch with a few of the Tez lads for a while, met Robit at some gigs, and had a few pints with Steve in Brighton when my cousin was teaching there for a while, but I lost touch after my phone was nicked.

All good, cheers. Still in touch with a few of those lads on Facebook alright, I think Nialler is the only lad I've actually met.

This site is decent, a lot less drama.  :laugh:
