Nice box set going to be released with a 90 page booklet and some early demo stuff  along with a gig from 1997.
This band were an absolute colossus back in the 90's,Dreadful hours was probably the last great album I enjoyed from them.

Cool! Pity they didn't root out some of Aaron's old artwork as that cover is shite.

They don't seem to have a dedicated thread so here is as good a place as any...

Jeez, the logo on the cassette  is a travesty, the band didn't look at that and say ah fookin  class, must never have seen it.

An wait, it's a  U.S. release, aesthetics bedamned then.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

It's shite alright but it's the original demo logo from 1990, so in the interest of authenticity I suppose...

Mad to see the vinyl version arrive in Bunker Records in Cork the other week on one of their just arrived videos. I picked up the Eucharist demo LP from Regain a few days previously. Great spot for picking up shit I never thought I'd be able to get on my doorstep  :abbath:

Eh..Eucharistic demo lp? :-*

Bunker is a very cool shop, that John guy is a sound lad. I've scored some amazing second hand noise rock/industrial/prog bits in there mad cheap,  though weirdly I havent checked the metal section

I really must pick up the "Towards" reissue. Am I right in thinking Peaceville have kept "Symphonaire"/"Thrash of naked limbs"/"I am the bloody earth" in print? I definitely remember seeing "Symphonaire" reissued at least

I've had to force myself to NOT check out those videos lately.
Far too much temptation.

All reissued on vinyl as recently as 2016, but sure Trinity is the 3 EPs combined anyway.

Lovely stuff, must pick them up as I've been gradually replacing some of the old Peaceville bits I don't have any more. That run from the demo through the EPs up to "Swans" is absolute genius.

'Symphonaire ...' was when I got into them
It was a revelation

To then get 'Turn Loose the Swans' sandwiched by 2 EPs after 'As the Flower Withers' (my favourite by them) was just unreal
- The Thrash of Naked Limbs
- ... Swans
- I Am the Bloody Earth

They were pure gold then

The Thrash of Naked Limbs is one of my favourite EPs
Gather Me Up Forever !!!

The Collectors Club 7" series by Peaceville was great then too - MDB, Anathema, GGFH, At The Gates

I got this poster around then
It took a few of us years to figure out what the image is

A fella we used hang around with back in the early/mid 90s was a massive MDB fan!,i remember he had that poster too!

Yeah they really were unstoppable in their early days, and as above "As the flower withers" is my favourite. "Sear Me" is still incredible to this day.
"Swans" was the last thing of theirs I really liked and I always found it a little too polished (probably to make up for how think "Flowers" sounds) but this live version of "The Snow In My Hand" is absolutely perfect. Must have worn the VHS tape I used to have it on out from watching it so much

I've never gotten into Turn Loose The Swans, it's the only album of theirs that I don't like. Symphonaire was a fantastic EP though, I still have the CD somewhere.
