I usually sold off the old consoles back when I was young and needed to fund the new one.

I had a quandary a few years back where I had a PS2, PS3, 360 and Wii.probably had over 400 games for them in total. The games were a pain to move, they obviously took up a fuck tonne of space and I rarely played any of the games more than once.

Binned almost everything, made a decent wedge, reclaimed a chunk of the room. One of the best choices I ever made.

Sell sell sell. The old consoles with a co-ax connection look shit on modern tellys. Get the SNES and Megadrive mini consoles with HD output and put every rom you can find on them.

Ahem I also have 3 CRT TVs , I have a raspberry pi setup for the old Snes/Magadrive roms, can get near the either...What really really kills me is that I've played every Zelda up until Majoras Mask, then cant get near anything after that, newer Zelda games all sitting there never been opened, pure clusterfuck!! Unopened PS2 in a box, unopened Wii U....I think I'll have to make the hard call lads....

Buy a Switch with the proceeds and lock yourself in the jacks!

Goldeneye, Mario Cart and Star Wars: Shadow Of The Empire kept me entertained for years on the N64, I'd love to get those again. I'm sure, however, that nostalgia is a factor in that and playing them on a decent TV now would be a letdown.

Mario Kart is still fucking amazing on the SNES.

If you have a pc get an emulator and then maybe see if you can get matching controlers for the platforms they are on. Then the most storage you'd have would be some joysticks/pads etc

Super Mario Kart on SNES is still the best one.

I run emulators on Windows, have a SNES Mini for handiness (SNES is my fave retro console), but I've pondered going all in on the retro stuff (mid life crisis is looming , hey). NTSC consoles, Sony Trintron screen... it'd be spicy as fuck, but I just know I'd flog it all again.

The cat going over and back across the windowsill and me thinking "the fuck do you want now, I only fed you a few minutes ago". Imagine he had a toothache instead and no way to tell me about it. In his head then, "come on to fuck, help me you prick!"

Imagine the most bestest, the even mostestester most brilliantest, the most scandalousisticspistic high one ever got off of anything whatever did it..

Now imagine the horror of waking up some wednesday morning, (haven't taken any of it the night before, actually went to bed at half 10 after a cup of tea and a sandwich and slept decent) and feeling the exact same buzz when the alarm goes off and you've to get up for work.

Agreed!    :abbath: :abbath: :abbath: :abbath:

Mario Kart on the SNES is indeed amazing, but the N64 version is without a doubt my fave.
