Oh it's deleted, my missus didn't want her to share it with her friends  but it's nature I said  :eyeroll:

No worries
I was joking anyway

Does anyone else here overthink completely random shit and wonder how the fuck it works?
I just watched a video where they were pressing vinyl. Just looked like a blob of plastic being pressed into shape. So far, so so. And then I'm thinking, how the absolute fuck do they get the sound onto that material and then get it to come out through speakers? I'm absolutely flummoxed here, and this is old technology. Sometimes I wish I had more of a 'scientific' brain, so I could at least have an understanding of the basic principles underlying this stuff.
Definitely yes, I'm overthinking stuff here. Just switched broadband provider the other day, everything transitioned perfectly well for the first day when the new modem arrived, now nothing works at all. I thought I was reasonably tech savvy but that's obviously now not the case and the ocd part of me can't get over that completely inessential shit, like the Nintendo Switch and Ring doorbell, wont work. Do we all need a big reset? Back to books in the evening by candlelight? Thoughts please

I was watching a video on how they make RAM and other bits on computers, the amount of shit that goes into it, and the they way materials have to interact...it's modern alchemy. I find it fascinating even if most of it goes completely over my head

The How it Works show that was on one of the Discovery channels decades ago was great for brief overviews about stuff you had and had never wondered about.

Maybe the people with the "One Hit Wonders" were the ones that refused to sell their souls.

Driving around the Arc de Triomphe is just Mario Kart on steroids and general driving in Paris is utter madness

Standing on top of it looking down at the madness is bucket list stuff.

I wish I could claim ignorance on the whole matter but unfortunately Im a divil for the old doom-scrolling so I'm more clued in than I care to be. It's all a load of nonsense really, from both sides. Amazing how people, knowing that Sheeran has been peddling the most inoffensive, boring shite to the masses for years now, somehow expect him to have some kind of political savvy or even principles in general, for that matter. It's being

It's simple enough that a fella wouldn't want the support act to turn the gig into a political event. Just let people enjoy the awful tunes without the politics.

Macklemore can do that at his own headlining gig.

It's ridiculous on the face of it but then I wonder had Sheeran ever made any political statement re trump or Ukraine and Russia and if he did well then fuck him and just because it's him this time on the receiving end of it now doesn't mean he didn't put in for it.

Then again maybe he never said anything like that, which I would respect him for in keeping the shows about the awful tunes and nothing else

He did back Ukraine and helped with a benefit show, so that's being used against him.

Charlotte church had a go at him at one of her gigs. Had a bitch about capatlism and then did a dead Kennedy's song.

Sheeran has to be the dumbest lad going if he didn't expect Macklemore to do what he did (i.e. make what, in 2026, is an extremely banal pro-Palestine statement): the chap's biggest singles of the last three years are literally called Hind's Hall and Hind's Hall 2, after Hind Rajab. And if Sheeran didn't know it (implausible as that is), his team definitely did. The mystery is that Sheeran invited him to open yet seemingly didn't in any way prepare for the absolutely inevitable backlash. I guess he just is an utterly clueless dope.
