Spectacular and the very last line is a dinger. Got a good lol out of it.

That was unbelievable, been binging more of his stuff all morning when I really should have been working!

It's great the way he can easily explain the process in making them whole still having a laugh with it

Incredibly talented fucker, across a good few disciplines.

Shirley temple bar is a bit of a legend isn't he

I had the best idea ever.

Nursing home costs are crippling for families. This is well known.

Grandad starting to go on the blink?

Get him to commit a serious crime while he still can.

Problem solved at no cost to his family.

When he started to do Telly Bingo as himself instead of Shirley it just felt wrong. I had got used to Shirley doing the ould bingo.
The lad himself does come across well in any interview I've heard.

I'm honestly surprised that this brilliant idea didn't gain more traction. Not aimed at you at all but has anyone actually considered what that means for us as a society that lads that need to be locked up have a better all round deal than lads who need 24 hour nursing? If a lad goes to jail there's no Fair Deal scheme to take his house or anything and there's free medical care and meals and anything else that's needed but if grandad has dementia then he loses his house that he paid for so now can't leave it to his kids or the kids have to pay extortionate costs to keep him there under care but if he just kills someone in cold blood, he'll be looked after in every aspect at no cost to his family and he won't even have my home stolen by stealth by the government. This is true and I've been practicing the routine on people in real life and no one has actually thought of it before but when I say it, I can see the lighbulb blowing in all their heads.

It's a bit like the way nobody noticed that putting the number 1 in front of their name instead of the suggested number after it when they make their email address gives them their own name @whatever.com but they get to be number 1 of it. Actually try that one and if you haven't the same name as me (you don't but I still had to be number whatever) I guarantee you can have your own name with the number 1 in front of it even if you have the world's most common name.

How did no-one realise that jail is preferable all round to the nursing home or indeed that you don't have to be number 63 if you don't want to?

The dementiati and infirm are, of course, notable for their swiftness of foot, cunning and being able to remember and follow instruction.

Bizarrely enough, over here in Oz there was a case earlier in the year of an oul granny in a nursing home, suffering from dementia, who "attacked" a cop with a bread knife and was shot dead, wisps of smoke rising off her zimmer frame as she was reduced to ash.

And only yesterday there was a 91 year old man arrested for murdering his 85 year old wife. Don't fuck with dementia patients, they're mad!

I remember reading about that old woman getting done actually now you mention it.

What happens to prisoners with dementia here?

All the more reason to get em in there then!

Thousands Are Sailing. Has a more hair raisingly emotional and hauntingly beautiful song ever been written? I don't think so. Yeah yeah, The Coffin Ships... it's a cool song but it doesn't even come close.

Has it got more poignant since you've emigrated? Serious question btw and also I'm assuming it's an old song but I've never heard of it so I could be way off the mark but I'm thinking it's like listening to Fiddlers Green after someone has died versus a regular day
