Anyone else here slightly OCD about things? It's fucking mad the way some small 'issues' escalate...

I'm definitely on that boat, man and I know exactly what you mean. I can take a seemingly mundane problem and within 10 minutes be at the very height of mania or obsession with it. And then it'll fester and gnaw at my psyche for hours, days or weeks sometimes. I have lost weeks of sleep just lying in bed playing out "what-if" catastrophes. To the point where I find myself bawling crying over something that will NEVER happen. Which can lead to being tightly-wound, depressed or just down for ages.

I used to ruminate something awful too but it sort of died off a bit after a few years - I learned a little how to talk myself down, not from looking it up or anything but in some situations a few things clicked and the level of then in general improved.  Hard to explain here really and it's also a rotten hard thing to take help with because all outside help just pushed further down the spiral, people tryimg to de-escalate you feels like they are making light of it and it gets worse.  Still happens on occasion but doesn't escalate as much luckily - but yeah I completely get you here and it has a rotten knock on effect for days.

I have various degrees of everything else mentioned in the quotes on OP here.  Most not as severe but the locking doors and double checking everything, yeah definitely.

I think it's amusing how people are so quick to jump at calling Varg a Nazi. It seems to me like the third least worst of his personality traits that one might get upset about.

Surely far and away in first place is the brutal butchery of one of his best friends. In terms of severity and in terms of down right cold, misanthropic activity that is the gold standard. But meh,whatever.

Silver would then have to go to the multiple arson attacks on buildings of cultural rarity and value. So much history lost in all of that. But meh, whatever.

All three fall nicely under the National Socialist spa personality though, no? Extreme violence against people you decide are plotting against you, burning religious buildings and destroying their history and culture, racism and xenophobia were all core tenets of Nazism. He ticks a lot of boxes, let's say, even if he doesn't wear a brown shirt and armband.
