Steve Mc  Manaman is probably my favourite co-commentator these days, down to earth, objective, humorous ,knowledgable, and a touch of the scally.

Not too often someone actually comes out and admits they should be sectioned.
Either that or you've been kidnapped and are trying to alert people without your kidnappers noticing.

Care to say what's wrong with his commentary or are we wearing our Manc tinted glasses today?
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

He has an awful reputation as a pundit in general. I too actually like him but it's probably a biased opinion on my part.

He's grand, he's not a dry shite or a box ticked like some of the cretins they have on.

Celtic on the dodgy box this evening v Ferencvaros. Win and they might even qualify.

"Yep, ah, um, yep" Watches Luke Shaw almost tear someone's leg off :"Oh, nothing wrong with that." Watches replay, where it turns out Shaw uses a chainsaw. "okay, maybe a yellow." Nothing to do with the team he played for, his inane shit just wrecks my head.

One thing that he has in his favour is... he's not Robbie Savage.

To be honest, BT and Sky were quick to offer red button services for fake crowd noise actual noise, why can't they do that for commentary as well? I'd say people would probably be more than willing to pay an extra fiver a month if they never had to hear Martin Tyler ever again.

Steve is the least annoying commentator but sure that's like saying he's the nicest guy in prison.

Nice to see the clusterfuck the Saudis are already making with Newcastle, could still be a long while for them to start challenging at the top, if ever

Give me Brian Kerr any day.  Tells it like it is and comes out with some great one liners.

Stevie G leaving the 'Gers in the lurch a bit there, happy days :)

Let's see how the boyz get on tonight.

And his contract expires the same time as Klopp's...

Big gamble from Villa, I mean he hasn't been that extraordinary at Rangers. Celtic were a mess last season, and as Chris Sutton pointed out, St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson won more than he did last year with a fraction of the resources.

Good performance from Ireland. Great to see.

It was a good performance alright. Maybe I'm being greedy but I'm disappointed it wasn't a win  ;D

While it turned out to be a bit of a damp squib of a game, Ireland played well. Hard to gauge really as Portugal didn't have much to play for. The game on Sunday will be an accurate measurement of the progress we've made.

Enjoyed that match, even though the boyz looked shaky for the first ten minutes of the second half. When we didn't punish the comedy defending it looked ominous but fair play, some good goals and Kenny has a bit of goodwill for the contract extension talks.
