What kind of a board would this be without a list thread? Especially one started by me. 
I'm more interested in seeing everyone elses though as I feel like I haven't had the ear to the ground quite as much this year. As far as my memory serves though, here is what I have thoroughly enjoyed thus far:

I kinda wanna put Daughters, Elizabeth Color Wheel and Echo Beds in there but they're perhaps a little too far left field

Disappointed by the Yob, Tribulation, Portal  & Cult Leader albums. Jury still out on Zealot Cult (sorry General Lee). Sleep was a fucking stinker, easily my least favourite this year.  Haven't heard Obliteration, Sulphurous, Sepulcher or Corpsessed yet but they might all be on there by January

I haven't gotten round to checking out anywhere near the amount of new music this year as I'd like, I've a lot of catching up to do. These would be my few standouts so far.

Still looking forward to Svartidaudi and Vircolac (if the latter is coming before the year's out).

Also looking through this thread already, and a few lists of 2018 releases to remember which of these were released this year, I see a heap of stuff I have yet to listen to at all.  Will be a busy December.

Deicide

Chortle. Surprised to see that on anyones list. I thought it was dreadful, maybe not as bad as In the Minds of Evil but that's hardly saying anything. If ever there was a band that made a career of phoning it in it's Deicide.
