Well this thread piqued my curiousity about them, so i had a listen to a couple of their songs...  well, let's just say I definitely won't be going to their gig at Slane. Fair play to them for getting the headline lot at Slane all the same.

I reckon if Kingfisher and Amble did a Co headline thing they probably could do Slane - now that really is awful shite though......

Are there any decent Irish 'mainstream' bands anymore? Lankum are probably too niche to qualify, I can't think of any TBH. I know they're polarising but The Franes would have been a call, but sure they've presumably died with Hansard.

Sure what the fuck does that even mean like? They moved gaff a few times, or were part of some weird hippy commune?? Anyway, someone with a surname like Chatten who calls their child Grian isn't short of a few bob, or comes from good Protestant stock. Anyway, too much of a discussion here for something that doesn't warrant much attention on this particular forum (and yes, I'm contributing to this on my own way) but to echo a previous post, not a great band, possibly not even a good band, but preferable to the likes of Kingfishr and Amble which is so inexplicably popular atm. And as I said already, the bar for Slane has been set incredibly low...Luke Combs last year, Robbie Williams years ago...the list goes on.
