Saint Vitus - Die Healing

Love the first with Reager, love Vitus but I'd take him over Wino allday. Die Healing is amazing. Locked but ye know what I'm on about.

Deicide - Legion was a other one. Probably the best Deicide.

The gathering -Night time birds.
Enslaved - Below the lights.

I bought the 2 Holy Terror LP's when I was younger and was devastated to realize they were a Thrash band and didn't listen to them for years, now I reckon it's some of the best thrashing speed ever recorded.

Gateways To Annihilation - Ignored this one for years as I was so annoyed with Formulas. All that bongo bongo computer game stuff turned me off ( I now love that album), anyway as a result I didn't bother with Gateways.

It's brilliant.

Last MA album worth caring about

Coroner - No More Colour. For years I had lumped it in alongside Grin and assumed it was some sort of stop/start shite so didn't even bother listening to it. Great album.

Monstrosity - In Dark Purity I somehow had never heard years after buying Imperial Doom. Much slicker obviously but some class songs on there.

The most recent one of these for me was Killing Joke - Outside The Gate

I was wrong about it, and so were the band themselves

I was on the lash in Düsseldorf and picked up a copy of Invictus by Virgin Steele. For some reason I thought they were a Greek black metal band! Imagine my surprise when I threw it on only to hear power metal with an extremely high cheese content. I wasn't ready to embrace the cheese so I threw it on the shelf to gather dust. Years later I went back to it and it's now one of my favourite albums along with The Marriage of Heaven and Hell I and II.

Gateways is very good. I'd rank it over Domination.

Gutter Ballet by Savatage and Savatage in general. Never really got them back then, really got into them a few years ago.

Reager doesn't  turn  on his mic when singing  live for some reason.  Seen him twice, same both times,,, so fuckin annoying,,, check  u tube on his last stint with st vitus

Mastodon - "Crack the Skye".
No interest at all on release, left it off for years.  Only gave it a go again after I dunno how long because my wife kept telling me how wrong I was to instantly dismiss it as shit compared to Blood Mountain.  She was right, I was very wrong, it is completely savage the whole way through.

Deftones - "Saturday Night Wrist".
A more recent one, I am even here on this forum somewhere saying how I think it is probably their worst.  Can remember this because soon after that post I tried it again and realised how wrong I had it.  It's not their best but it is much higher than I gave it credit for and the songs strike me much better now than the first time I heard it.

Didn't bother with Judas Priest until well into my 30s, don't know why because I always liked what I heard. At the point now that I just need a couple of albums to complete the discography

Same as that actually, just never bothered with them bar picking up Painkiller and a rip of one of the Ripper era live albums at some stage. I need Redeemer and the last one to complete the discography, but neither is particularly good so I'm in no rush.
