They could absolutely do a re/Load tour, they can play whatever they want at this stage.

Just had a look at the setlists and they played 10 post-Black Album tunes across both nights, compare that to Megadeth who have played essentially the same set for 20 years, just replacing the previous albums two singles for the new albums two singles.

At Slane all the people around me went apeshit for Frantic, they're too big to fail.

Quote from: Ollkiller on Today at 03:24:13 PMAs regards ticket prices 190 for both shows was the most reasonable I've seen for an act that big in ages.

It was €220 including the TM fees. In the grand scheme of things not that bad by todays standards. TM also made getting the tickets you wanted a nightmare. I think single day tickets were pricy seen some last year on sale for 160. I can't remember if that was a resale with the additional TM fees.

Did anyone on here get that luxury VIP thing with the back stage tour / meet and greet? If so how was it? Was anyone in the snakepit for either of the shows?

Some of the fans are such sycophantic cocksockets for Papa Het & Co. that a St. Anger set would still do gangbusters.

Quote from: Cailleach on Today at 04:10:35 PMUntil it Sleeps is a good song, but i  disagree that it's their last great song. A couple of songs off Death Magnetic are fairly good too.

Crown Of Barbed Wire and Chasing Light on 72 seasons are 2 brilliant tracks.Would be far better live than anything else off that album.Reload has some underrated tracks.Devils Dance,Fixxxer,Where The Wild Things Are would all be great live.Load has tracks better than Until It Sleeps.Bleeding Me and The Outlaw Torn are quality.

First time seeing Metallica and it was a great gig(Sunday)good crowd, weather and more importantly a nice mix of old stuff and not too much new stuff, the sound was good much better than Gojira's although it improved a bit towards the end off their set,Mario is a beast of a drummer.

I also like Hero of the day and Mama Said. Still i wouldn't be mad keen on going to a metallica gig that was mainly devoted to both of those albums

Great night again on Sunday, feeling the age today and my neck got a hammering. It exceeded my expectations.
