If there ever was a cover that reeked of "some clown can do art with a computer no as it's the 90s".

Think I burst out laughing in Zhivago in Galway when I found it in the racks.

Imagine the merch sales on that tour

Post tour stock check: Full container of S/M/L left. Xxxl's sold out

I'd be very interested in seeing how this pans out. Absolutely love Nevermore, especially Loomis playing and Dane's vocals. I hated the vocals at first but they really grew on me and it's hard to see how someone else can do what he did, more so in writing new material.

As a band they were very dysfunctional though. Have heard podcasts where bands on tour with them said they basically fought constantly. They pulled out of lots of shows and tours over issues with members in the band. Warrel Dane obviously had his issues but in a statement the band just put out it looks like the bass player was also problematic and is not part of the reunion.

Interestingly they are putting out open auditions for a new vocalist and bassist. I'd imagine it will be quite a while before there's a new album or anything if they don't have a line-up yet.

Honestly don't even know what Shepard contributed to the band in the first place. He's one of those bassists that's mostly buried in the mix to begin with.

Unless he was a muse for the two lads, the band will still sound the same without him.

As an aside, Van Williams is integral to their sound too. Genuinely one of the most underrated drummers in metal.

Quote from: Ducky on December 28, 2024, 01:43:05 PMI hope it isn't Matt Barlow, he's always sounded like he's a power metal vocalist from South Park. "Oh how I loved you, the pain won't go awwwaaaayyy".

Quote from: Crow on December 28, 2024, 01:57:42 PMActually can really imagine Matt Barlow staccatto his way through WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THEY BUILT A LAD-DER TO HEAV-EN.

You know the way he bollocks on. "Lies, fool-ish lies. Be-hind your brain-washed eyes." Brainwashed eyes. Mother of jaysis.

This 100% - Always thought Lou Barlow sounded like Trey Parker taking the piss.

Sure wasn't most of Iced Earth's later lyrical content basically "America Fuck Yeah" in variations.

Oh, c'mon lads. These should've popped up on page 1 of the thread:

EVERMORE

FURTHERMORE

EVENMORE

I'll show myself out now.

Loomis stuff with Graham Bonnet is very interesting, the lad has some range!!!

I always thought the dude out of Communic sounded a bit like Dane
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes
