Definitely the dumbest thing I've read today, and I work with the public so that takes some doing...

No point arguing with the review, it's obviously clickbait nonsense, but this was in the era of the height of music blog popularity, spearheaded by Pitchfork, so it seems fairly within the context of those times of idiots trying to draw attention to themselves.

Edit: such as this infamous Jet review https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/9464-shine-on/ (though at least that one may have a shred of merit).

Or at the other end of the scale, their infamously pretentious 10/10 Kid A review.
Excerpt: "Kid A sounds like a clouded brain trying to recall an alien abduction. It's cacophonous yet tranquil, experimental yet familiar, foreign yet womb-like, spacious yet visceral, textured yet vaporous, awakening yet dreamlike, infinite yet 48 minutes."

I really don't like Pitchfork, but I'll certainly take my hat off to their glorious Greta Van Fleet review...and yes, I've probably posted this many times before but sure, good craic

Utterly scathing. Probably don't disagree with that one in fairness.

I picked up a Jet album in either Dealz or a charity shop once when it was especially slim pickings. It has never made its way into the cd player. I wonder if the review will change my mind?

Pitchfork had a very bad review of Lateralus back in the day but it was more like a pisstake than a genuine review. Iirc, it was funny at least

It's a good one. What an insufferable shower of gobshites. Someone called them Kingdom Come for Urban Outfitters shoppers and they're not wrong. 😂

Very true, still looks well too. It's also a decent Wings song.

(Edit: do people say that in the south?)

The only people I have ever heard say that where from the countryside and had parents who were closely related.
