Really enjoyed the gig, maiden are always a solid show. Set list was fantastic. First time at malahide and it's a cool spot. I got an event bus in so there wasn't much walking or pricking around with having to get public transport which was nice for a change.

Was kinda funny seeing the band make mistakes, they're usually so on point. Guess they're human after all! New drummer wasn't fantastic - he absolutely destroyed a few bits by slowing down to a snails pace. You could see Adrian getting annoyed at it in Wasted Years and he flubbed the solo as a result.

Would love to see this show indoors. I think the production suffered from the large outside stage, no fault of the band there though.

Long day for us driving up from Cork and staying in the city. Had go get a taxi to the venue. Getting out was a nightmare as well so bit the bullet and got another cab before midnight prices hit.

Venue is okay, nice when you're in the crowd but everything else is a dose. Sound was meh as well.

Setlist was good, played Clairvoyant and Rime which I love. I'd be a Nicko fan alright and he was missed. Your man seems like he's just trying to get through the set.

Doesn't Eddie usually make an appearance during the song Iron Maiden? Also no Guinness drinking this time.

Saw this show indoors and outdoors. Was up close for both gigs. Both different experiences.

Watched some of it outside of the gold circle when going all the way to the back for the jacks and then back down again for a pint. The layout having the toilets at the back of the venue and the bars at the front of the venue is a bizarre setup. It made for a constant sea of people moving up and down the pitch non stop, it can be distracting from the gig having people walking by you every 2 seconds

Music could have been louder, could often hear chatter louder than the music. Guess thats just an outdoor gig, indoor gigs someone would have to go up to your ear for you to notice them speaking

They've gotta have some of the most consistently ugly merch of any band ever!

Wasted Years sounded notably off pace, especially the intro part and even when it comes back to that part during the song. Ironic that Bruce made the click track comment earlier in the night.

Re: That t shirt...

It's like burnt toast, it's nice if you like it.
Albeit expensive toast :)

There were a few asking about it on their Facebook page, so at least I'm not the only one with bad taste  8)

And anyways, I thought with t shirts, the more garish they are the better.

Do they not know by now not to fly the butcher's apron at irish gigs?

Thankfully that day is gone

I more disappointed in the use of AI in the visuals:
https://inews.co.uk/culture/music/iron-maiden-glastonbury-gwyneth-paltrow-yurt-3765516

This article says the opening video was "AI-assisted" but also that the stuff on the screens was "a couple of million quid's worth of production", which suggests if AI was used they were robbed  ;D

Some of the screen stuff had that AI sheen to it, you know when everything is a bit too glossy. Also some of it looked like that AI turn a picture into a video thing with slight movement added. Not sure if was AI or just Steve Harris having awful taste. The idea is decent but you could tell there was more money/effort gone into some of the songs screens than others.
