Was great that that Bruce could wave Union Jack during The Trooper and nobody gave a fuck, waving the Tricolour after was a nice touch

Deadly gig. Visuals were great. New boy on drums was brilliant too. Personal highlights were Killers, Phantom, Powerslave and mariner. All class though. Not a bad way to celebrate one's 50th birthday, and it being Maiden's 50th too.

A friend just sent me a picture of the lines for the dart afterwards, it gave me anxiety

Great gig, mariner and powerslave did it for me. Wasted years one of my favourites too, did they mess it up a bit before AS started his solo? Only problem was we were about 1 hr waiting to get out of coach park. And there was a cool event t shirt but they must not have had many as they sold out fast, and crikey, were the merch queues slow or what.....

Agreed

I've seen them 7 times in Ireland since DOD 2003,I think, and I've never seen that. Mind you one was Belfast,  :)

That went well. Brought my two young lads aged 6 and 9 and they enjoyed it. I'll admit I was fretting over getting out of the place after having read plenty of reports describing Malahide as a nightmare after a gig. Elected to watch the encore from up the back and hit the exit as Wasted Years started (my favourite Maiden song  :( ) . I sailed out of the place in the car and was home in Roscommon at 1210am. On the other hand getting in was a right pain in the hole in rush hour traffic and took about an hour from the turn off at Dublin airport.

I wouldn't say I loved the performance but I'm definitely not a Maiden fanatic anyway and I never go to big outdoor gigs like that anymore. That set list was more or less perfect for me. The 80s classics. Bigger crowd than I expected. Padded out with mostly middle aged part time rockers by the looks of things. Maiden, GNR, AcDc patches on the jackets with the likes of slipknot and pantera on them too for good measure  ;D

Food was a rob and can't comment on the pints as I was driving. Good night and probably my last time seeing Maiden. Delighted I brought my kids to see such legends before their time is up.

Good going, the bus west just passing Kinnegad, it's 12.52, and the gig finished 10.30

Enjoyed the gig but the drumming was sloppy as shit I thought. It felt like Nicko had dropped out with 24hrs notice and Simon had stepped in.  Even small details like the offbeat China cymbal on 2 Minutes to Midnight missing. Jarring at times.

Agreed - whoever said that was a good drummer needs to put down the crack pipe for a minute. Thought the videos I'd seen were alarming but it was worse live. Clunky and cumbersome. He will be gone before they record the next album

Great gig  , greatcsetlist no issue with drums at all, sound was a bit washy at times no complaints thought crowd was a bit dead in spots.

The freeway was jammed and backed up for miles?

Setlist was brilliant, there was stuff I'd have replaced but with a catalogue like theirs they're never going to play everything you want. Mariner was a real highlight, not sure what that rambling intro Bruce had for it was all about though!

Best thing I can say about the drummer is he was competent enough, but he got the job not on ability but because he's Steve's mate and it really shows

Did not even see that  ;D

They sometimes put them up for a limited time afterwards so you might be able to pick it up online from them

I enjoyed the gig, enjoyable setlist, I had not seen them in a long time as I had skipped the last tour, interesting to see the migration from physical Eddies/painted backdrops to the CGI though the onstage Eddies were better than usual, also bailed as Wasting Years started (not a favourite of mine) so was on a DART into town at 22:40.
