Yeah, Tornado of Souls is the obvious one, but a place for the other solos of exceptional merit.

Tommy from Coroner is one of the finest there has ever or will ever be.

I will die on the hill of David Davidson being the best guitarist in metal to emerge this century.


The best solo in thrash metal...

Bobby was class.

Glen Avelais was in quite a few of the Bay Area bands and never stayed long but he was the Big Pharma of thrash solos

James Murphy. Could pick anything he has done but this one, in particular, every solo is perfect, even his divebombs are melodic  :laugh:

Not metal, but I always thought Captain Sensible's riffs and solos wouldn't have sounded out of place in an NWOBHM album. A brilliant guitarist, miles better than anyone in the British punk scene.
