Just back from seeing AC/DC live. They've still fairly got it. Obviously a couple of steps slower now, but still about 20 steps ahead of anybody else in their 70s. The stadium erupted any time Angus did a duck walk, good times.

Féile na Gréine is on around Limerick again this weekend.  I missed Shearling playing Dolans last night so am going out for a look at some of the stuff for this tonight, or realistically just getting a pint wherever I can

Anyway - Fomorian Vein is playing the Wickham Way this evening, savage savage stuff, have this compilation at home and often have it on.  Sort of breakcore/rave/bizarre shit when it wants to be.  Definitely heading in for it, seen them before at Crew a few years back and it was septic.

Enjoy, I heard it was savage last night.  Loud and intense.  I was hoping to spin down just to see them but couldn't swing it with the way it fell.  Hopefully they come back.

Ah John you missed out.Can confirm they were indeed just that, quite unlike anything I've seen bar Swans (parts of their set definitely hit the "Public Castration" buttom for sure) but more in approach than sound for the most part. There was a lot going on, to put it mildly. One unbroken block of music about 90 minutes, incredibly tight, utterly bewildering, absolutely excellent.

Earthslayer were really interesting as well, definitely very unique for an Irish band. Definitely not metal, at various point they reminded me of Time of Orchids, the Virgin Prunes, Kayo dot, and some sort of Andrew Lloyd weber musical. Not sure to make of them, which is a good thing I think.

David Allan Coe - Nothing's Sacred, and Underground Album

His two 'x-rated' albums that he only sold at shows. They're both on YouTube though. Good oul craic. A bit puerile at times, like a country version of Steel Panther, but good for an immature laugh. Check out the tracks Lovelace, or Three Biggest Lies for a taste.

Completely ok with eating humble pie on this one but the Devlins absolutely sucked big time from what I can remember? Completely inoffensive soft rock/alternative outfit from the 90s. Like a milder version of Bush.
