I recognised the name but had to look up ol' Wes there - I don't think that's an act, the lad seems a whole lot cracked in the head.

Flashback to that awkward moment way back when one of the lads gives you the Puddle of Mudd album, insists you listen to it because you're an Alice in Chains fan and "this is just as good", but you have to break hearts and reprimand them for listening to such shite.

Ducky just induced a flashback in my own cortex there with regard to fucking Puddle Of Mud.
Is it possible, now I may have dreamed this up, I drank heavily for a number of years in my youth, but did I once go to a gig in the Ambassador where Puddle Of Mud were supporting cunting Korn?
I have some memory of POM getting booed off the stage and  Korn being as septic as Korn tended to be, complete with Davies in kilt with bagpipes.
Did this actually happen? If so, to keep on thread, it must have been the most ridiculus and unintentionally hilarious gigs ever.
Perhaps the whole thing is just a figment of my booze addled brain.

That was in the RDS, a mate got tickets for free through his job. POM were so shite that I initially thought it was the opening act doing a bad impression.

First proper gig I ever went to, being a 14/15 year old Korn fan I was happy out.  Puddle of Mudd however were absolutely fucking shocking, and played a cover of War Pigs that has stuck with me to this day.  Woeful but fair funny

Possibly. The general feeling seemed to be disappointment from what I remember. I'm not a fan so don't know whether they were good by their standards, I just thought they were generally shite.

Musically the band is great the singer just has a very bad drinking problem. I remember someone on another forum who moved into his town in Finland said he was always hounding them every single day to go on the beer
