They'd certainly be more of a draw for me.

Ah ya, Mgła would be right up there with the best known at this stage. The Bathory tribute is supposed to be great.

Not having a go at the quality of either, but I'm surprised they are top billing.

To anyone who has Eld by Enslaved on CD:

What colour is the tray on yours? I bought it years ago and it came with a white tray, and the case didn't close properly. If it was a secondhand buy I'd think fair enough, the seller just swapped it around, maybe the orignal tray was banjaxed. I'm fairly sure I bought it new though, so I'm just curious.

Black tray on mine, but it's the version with no band logo or album name on the cover.

I just went to double check there and it's actually Eld that has the white tray (Frost has a clear traybeith text behind it, band logonand album title on the cover). My mistake, sorry but same question for Eld if anyone has it on CD.

Game Over came out 40 years ago yesterday.

It did indeed. My favourite thrash album.

Reign In Blood apparently came out the same day.

Shoved into my FB feed for some reason. Someone, a friend of Benediction apparently, has stumbled upon the lyrics to Vermithrax:

Read through a few of them comments. Yep, I'm glad I'm not on Facebook anymore.

I saw some fella kicking off on FB last week who was at the limerick show and bought an Abaddon CD having not known them before hand, he then came across the Vermithrax lyrics and was shocked/upset. He was posting on a load of groups saying he was contacting the band and promoter. Think it's all stemming from that.

I obviously don't agree with the lyrics but I also think judging people for songs they wrote almost 30 years ago isn't right either.

I'm more annoyed that we'll probably never get an LP release of TLS because of that dumbass song/osmose holding it hostage.

Also this is absolutely mental, big money in NWOBHM still.

 Oh, the humanity. There's one fella trying to talk a bit of sense but the rest is painful. Great song, shit lyrics. Next.

Yer man who is 'best friends with Benediction' made sure Gaahl is in his profile pic as well and seems to think people would be afraid to say anything to him. Whole thing is pitiful.

I remember being somewhat taken aback by the lyrics when it came out, but it's a fucking great song and I've sung along to worse

I didn't know it was being held hostage by, presumably you mean Season of Mist. I'd love a vinyl version with original ugly artwork.
