Evil Empire, 30 years old yesterday. An initial disappointment for me, it grew on me a lot over the years, but prob remains my least favourite, including Renegades.

That's mad. You'd put Battle of LA ahead of Evil Empire? Haven't listened to them in years but was mad into the first 2 as a nipper.

They're both leagues behind the lightning-in-a-bottle s/t, but yeah, I think Battle of LA is the better album out of those two, across the board: better songs, vox, production. Mic Check is almost good enough to be on the debut.

MLGA?

Mgla?

Every empire
Every nation
Every tribe
Thought it would end
In a bit more decent way

It is an unlikely alliance of assorted failures
Various degrees of deceit, doomsday prophets
The clenched teeth, the vinegar down the veins
A stylish pit right next to Judas, Brutus and Cassius  :abbath:  :abbath:

Asrar back on their bootlegger bullshit, this time it's Adorior kicking off over Asrar's "official" reissue of the debut.

I still have so many questions about that label and whoever's behind it.

Some iteration of Sarcófago have announced an Australian tour for August. Anyone seen them live? Worth getting off my hole for??

I am not sure if it's a bootleg it could be another case of someone other then the band owning the rights. The Sigrblot and Ildjarn reissues he did ended up like this. Roman Saenko retracted his statement about the Ildjarn stuff being boots when he found out the licence was bought from the label that owned it.

Similar situation to all these Earache reissues from the classic bands that the bands themselves don't get a cent from. That's just based on the small discussion I have read since this Adorior album announced a few days ago not into Adorior myself so I know very little about them. A few on here know the band so maybe someone has more accurate info.

Asrar has been discussed to death on other forums so whatever questions you have I am sure they have already been answered. Not that I care about this label but I always find it funny how people and labels alike are perfectly fine with some bootlegs like the Burzum ones for example but then are outraged by others like the BBH, TMLHBAC or the recent Weakling one.

They played Steelfest last year. Haven't seen any good or bad reviews. It's one of the old guitarists who apparently has Wagners blessing. The bald Finnish guy on youtube did a video interview with them last year.

Geddy Lee and Bono are related. Same little round glasses n all, it's uncanny

Speaking of Angine de Poitrine, apparently in a list of influences they shouted out this specific track from their fellow Canadian oddballs:

That album should be on everyone's list!
Mention of it has me rolling it out for a spin again. The Prow has one if my all time favourite guitar solos on it.

Ya, deadly album. That song in particular though (another random thought) is like a pure 50/50 mix of Diamond Head and Blue Öyster Cult. It's almost uncanny.
