Quote from: Born of Fire on January 23, 2026, 12:15:45 PMI suppose the having to do shows in secret aspect helps the kvlt mystique too   :abbath:

It is and it isn't. I have been to a handful of shows were the venue is only announced on the day and when you are travelling from abroad it's a pain in the bollox because you don't know what hotel to book as you don't know where the show is going to be. I wanted to go to a show last year but couldn't due to no info being provided beforehand and the place itself was going to be in the middle of nowhere meaning if you weren't driving you risked not even making the show or being stranded all night after it as public transport was non existent and taxis were scarce / cost a bomb.

It's bad for the likes of us in Ireland were gig numbers struggle so a promoter isn't even going to try something like this as it's almost a guarantee less people will attend. I would put money on it that nobody will try to bring D666 to Ireland ever again after all the tantrums that were thrown before the show last November because it would just be too big of a risk financially if the show ends up not happening due to outside interference.

That's a load of bollix
I remember being at Dynamo Metal Fest in Eindhoven in 2018, and Ministry played. Uncle Al, the junkie prick, started his Antifa shenanigans, and the crowd absolutely lit in anger. I've never seen so much beer flying through the air. The absolute sap, and his little tiny vein less puny arms

Yeah... I'm here second-guessing myself. But if it is him, I'm disappointed he didn't say "MachineFUCKIN'Head!"

Nah it's not him, too young. The lad in the video only looks in his 50s...

Quote from: Eoin McLove on January 23, 2026, 11:09:04 AMNot sure where else exactly to put this but I'm going in to see D666 with Impiety and a few other bands tomorrow night. Should be fun. Secret location and all to keep pesky Antifa from sticking their oar in. Looking forward to meeting up with young (though at this stage, not young at all) Mithrandir who I haven't seen in, what, ten years? More??

Eh, rude??

Haha nah easily that long which is scary, plenty of shite talking to catch up on  :abbath:

Any metal in Melbourne that is deemed remotely 'unsafe' or 'sketch' even by association is literally considered a Nazi rally it seems, it's actually fucked here. There were community safety warnings posted around the place for the last Australian Antichrist fest that Diocletian played warning people to stay inside and be vigilant

I don't think there'll be any fear of Antifa this year, bikie gangs are a bit harder to intimidate than bar owners.

Sure, I was at Diocletian. It was a very dangerous environment indeed. I was lucky to escape alive!

Didn't Melbourne have several marches by actual Neo Nazis in the last couple years?! So lads don't even need to try and make out metal gigs to be the boogeyman there  :-X

Yep. All twenty of them took to the streets

The gig was a buzz tonight and deadly to catch up with Mithrandir after so many years. Strangely he was going on about that time he wrote half the songs on both the Malthusian and Vircolac demos!  :P

Yeah fucking killer day out! Destroyer showed why they stay on top above all the bullshit, just fucking pure unadulterated heavy metal mania, kk was fucking off his tits too, the whole thing was chaotic in the best way. It was their first time ever playing the song Unchain The Wolves live apparently. Impiety were cool too. The show was in an Outlaws MC clubhouse which was cool even if the whole thing was pretty covert, they run a tight ship those bikies.

Round 2 for me tomorrow, 4 hour heavy metal boat cruise with D666 and Impiety again, what could go wrong?!

Your heading on the boat? Is it the same lineup again? I'm curious to hear how that goes.
