Only sold 5% of tickets with that line-up? Were they massively over-priced or something?

Unfortunately the ticket info has been pulled from the site, can't see anything  on any of the previous announcements

I'm not as plugged into these things as I used to be, but I definitely should have heard about that festival before. First I heard of it was that it was cancelled.

The rescheduled Manor Fest has just been cancelled. Some pretty big acts on it like Overkill and My Dying Bride etc . Pretty sure the Overkill shows that were supposed to happen here last year were cancelled because of last years shit show.

Laughable.

I see Anthrax have cancelled their European summer run for the second year running, citing scheduling and logistical reasons. Is this down to festival failures I wonder?

Personally I think Anthrax are full of shit, plenty of smaller acts have been making their way round Europe. I'd say it's more got to do with the fact that Benantes calendar is full and Scott ain't too far behind him with Mr Bungle etc. A long established outfit of complete liars.

They should count themselves lucky anyone would pay to see them. One of the most overrated bands in metal history.

How they ever made it into the big four category is beyond me, easily the weakest of those acts. Scott Ian is insufferable.

Spreading, Among and Persistence are up there with the best of them. Worship Music is the best big 4 album of the last 30 years IMO so I don't buy that at all.

The only time I saw them live was supporting Slayer 4 or 5 years ago and they were grand. 2 covers in a 7 song set was unforgivable though'  especially when one of them was Got The Time.

What is?

The fact that Manor Fest gave a rousing speech last year after haemorrhaging a ton of money, letting a lot of bands and punters down and causing a knock on effect of a few of the associated tours like Overkill to be cancelled only to dig in and do it all again on a larger scale the following year. Some people just don't know when to quit.

I like Spreading and Persistence is my favourite Belladonna era Anthrax record, but still think they can consider themselves fortunate - there's so many bands in thrash's B league that would wipe the floor with them.

I've seen them live a good bit, these days I wouldn't deliberately go see them - they've been support in most of the recent cases and the setlist never changes. Persistence is such a good album it amazes me to see them only air Got The Time? which is a horseshit cover on every occasion. I've seen them live with Bush several times, much better and a much more varied career spanning setlist at those shows.

Dunno why everyone hates Got the Time. I think it's class and I never actually knew it was a concert until recently. Sherlukkit.

People have lost money, a bunch of fans don't get to see bands play, and a bunch of bands aren't getting paid. Laughable?

Giggles doesn't see what's so funny.
