Death Of The Celts was the lowpoint for the new songs alright, but it sounded OK live. I wish to fuck they'd dump Fear Of The Dark though, how that's regarded as a 'classic' I can't fathom. Awful song, straight to the jacks for that one.

Always thought Fear Of The Dark was a bit shite myself...

First time seeing them Saturday. Personally really enjoyed the set choice. Alexander the Great a highlight (as was all the SIT tunes).

Delighted with the night, bar the hotel and pint prices. Still haven't checked the bank account.

Still can't believe they're doing a SIT tour and not doing Deja Vu or long distance runner, especially with the amount of duds in the setlist.

My 4th Maiden gig and probably the best one (very close call with/to 2018 tour) - SIT tunes were immense, "The Prisoner" was another high light. Stage production was definitely scaled back a little compared to "the Legacy of the Beast" tour from 2018 - but made up for by a slightly more intense performance.

"Death of the Celts" definitely came across better live and the start had a real "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" vibe - the green stage smoke etc.

It'll take something really special to draw me out to see Maiden again after that gig.

A true man of culture! The best 2 tunes on the album - yeah, a bit disappointing.

Oh I dunno, Deja Vu... Mmmm, it's OK, Loneliness is great and Sea of Madness too but in fairness the other 5 are top notch. What a great album tho.

I'd have have any of those 3 over Wasted Years, Heaven Can Wait or Stranger In A Strange Land TBH. That tease early on where he mentioned Deja Vu and Losfer Words was cruel.

Agreed. Really thought for a second they were going to play it.

Have they said why they don't play it? If you're going to market a tour as a commemoration of a particular album , play the whole fucking thing like. Particularly THAT album, not a dud on it.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Some seriously moaning bitches on this forum, probably should have went to Dublin pride instead of the gig. Had a hell of a day, foggy dew pub good craic beforehand, got into arena 5 minutes before doctor doctor.
Must say I've never seen queues as long for the pissers. Apparently the merch stall was horrendous. Great crowd too, not many wankers about.

It was a 2 album affair, Somewhere and Senjutsu so five was spot on. Stranger, Wasted, Somewhere, Alexander are thd best songs on the album. Bitches

Great night..lost count how many times I've seen them but that was the best since around final frontier era shows..obv would've loved more SIT song..agreed death of the celts an absolute joke of a song..pathetic..I stood to watch how bad it was out of morbid curiosity instead of going to bar/pisser..it was woeful

Quote from: Blitzer666 on June 28, 2023, 07:32:43 PMApparently the merch stall was horrendous.

Took me almost fifty minutes from joining the "queue" to getting to the counter. And even then only because a load of people in front of me got fed up waiting and left. Lot of seriously pissed off people.
Apart from that, a great night.
