Slievenamon is just a few km away from the house, been watching that fire spread for the last few days. Lots of people driving around the bóithríns looking to boost their insta rep with a dramatic photo. Amazingly, the emergency services are having to appeal to the photo opportunists not to block the roads so emergency vehicles have access to, you know, get water to try to contain the flames, boring stuff like that.

Added it to my passport order last time, thought that'd be great, carrying around a small card instead of a big passport booklet, this is the way forward.

Got to Amsterdam with the buddies on Friday morning, and they breeze through with the normal passport being scanned on a self-service device for EU citizens.  Meanwhile dipshit here had to queue for 45 minutes with all nationalities and families with kids under 14.

Going back now and it's the same shit show, d'oh!

On the plus side, it was great to see some many Mayo people watching the game in Amsterdam and the whole pub roaring them on
