This is probably going to offend a lot of people* but I'm bored to death of meeting people who are self-diagnosed as being ADHD/ on the spectrum. The spectrum, as far as I can make out, doesn't go from zero to one hundred, it goes from minus infinity to plus infinity. It's called BEING HUMAN! I have met a few people in recent times who I really like, who are interesting people, and who appear to be completely functional members of society, but they have to include that, ermergerd, they are ON THE SPECTRUM. Dude, that is the single LEAST interesting thing about you. Even if it's true. We are all fucked in the head. Who cares

Yep. People using it as their personality. Girl I was working with lately crowbarred being they/them into the middle of a conversation, followed by being autistic. For a start, I don't care, and, secondly, you've a shaved head and you're wearing a fuckin shirt and tie. Both of those things were pretty heavily implied.

While I respect those who receive their diagnosis and don't throw it into every conversation, my 'peeve' is that a relative whom has recently been diagnosed uses it as an excuse to get out of doing shit for the family, prior to which, while it may have been a 'chore' they moaned and reluctantly got on with it. Now it's, I have to think about me, and take this time to heal.

When I was growing up being on the "Spectrum" ment you were playing shitty video games and were poor and could not afford a c64 or atari.
A mate of mine throws this into every conversation ive got adhd that's why I can't do that job, unemployed, he's just a lazy c@nt in his 50s.

Why do folks think it's OK to simply not report a crime? We have a secure bike park at work but yesterday some wee cunts managed to get in and attempted to steal my bike. They didn't manage but their efforts caused about £400 of damage to my frame. Reported to building management and all I have have had is excuses and apathy. "Ah well at least they never took it", "What can you do!", "No point phoning the police as what will they do?"

Absolutely fucking infuriating attitude. It's meant to be a secure area and I need two separate badge scans to access it - again I'd have thought that might be a cause for concern for security. Nope. More excuses.

Now...I fully appreciate there isn't much that can be done about it but that shouldn't mean we all simply give up reporting things!

The complete and utter lack of respect that some people have when using a public toilet, some of the states that they are left in is fucking ridiculous, chewing gum in urinals, water on floors, loo roll on floors, I don't need to go into the what's left in the loo itself, its mental, I feel for the poor cleaners that have to address this mess after, what the fuck is wrong with people

There's a chap in work called Ricky, that for the past year or two, has had to drive drive home to sort out his young fella - a lad of about 18 or 19 - who, when he doesn't want to go to school or take his Leaving Cert. mocks, threatens to either kill himself or kill one of his parents.

Apparently - the lad is on the spectrum (not professionally diagnosed either because that would be too much hassle) but it seems that once he gets his way he just plays Playstation all day at home or goes back to his bedroom where his girlfriend seems to be "camped out" - not my word, his father said this to me.

Two weeks ago this young lad arrived into my toolroom with his father and said to me "This is Sean - if you need anything doing like sweeping up or whatever get a hold of him and make him work."

I didn't say anything but I wondered if this was Ricky's son that keeps threatening to do himself in, he has three boys all around the same age. I wandered into my boss's office to talk to him about something. One of the other lads, Mad Mark, was already in there.

"I hear what you're saying, Mark" said my boss, Steve "but I'm willing to the give the lad a chance. Ricky came and asked me so I decided to go with it"

Clearly they were talking about young Sean.

"A chance, me bollix!" said Mark "Ricky said that the little cunt is suicidal. For all we know the urge might overtake him next week when he's up on the gantry and he'll fucking jump off!"

"Is that a major concern, Mark? Really?"

"It will be if the weird prick lands on me!"
