That one in particular is grating. Knew a woman once who drunk-chatting ear off me about a guy she had started seeing - "And hes a proper nice guy which usually gives me the ick".

Sounds like the kind of toxic immature fucker that flirts with someone just to see if you'll chase them, then gives you the cold shoulder for two days when you call her out on it.

Fucking people, man. We had arranged a play date for the young lad and a pal of his from school. He was coming over here for a few hours and, maybe,  possibly his mum... or mum and dad and brother... or they were dropping him off and he was staying here on his own... they were a bit vague, but grand, we'd play it by ear. They are due to arrive at 10am so we run around cleaning the gaff, the missus gets some food on the go. Half ten rolls by, no sign of them. The missus messages to make sure they have the address...

"Ah sorry, we can't make it,  something else has come up and I've been flat out blah fucking blah..."

No chance you could have given us a fucking heads up that you weren't going to come over??? Just leave us sitting here waiting for a couple of hours until we got the hint!!!

The young lad was up the wall with excitement and his day is fucked now. Maybe worst of all the gaff is all sparkly and clean which really gives me the ick.

Seems to be. It doesn't take much to send a courtesy text the evening before, or even in the morning. But to not even contact us... so bizarre.

Amazon orders which when investigated state that the order "couldn't be delivered' . I was in the house, you didn't ring or message. WTF.

PLus mad delays on other orders, is it really that hard?
 
I always relied on this service but has it recently gone to sh^t or is it just me?

Rare I'd have an issue with them TBH and it'd usually sorted fairly quickly, are you based in Ireland?

Never had a problem with Amazon, if anything I'm sometimes shocked how quickly something lands on my doorstep. Like they're waiting around the corner anticipating my every move.

Just me so.  No, not based in Ireland.  First time with an issue but I guess depends on the seller and/or delivery company they have opted for. I'll get my coat.....
