I have never bought a record that came with a slip mat in ask my years picking up vinyl! A Reverend Bizarre one is just the ticket.

I just rooted out the Knock Em Down to Size 7". I honestly haven't a clue when I last put it on but it's actually pretty deadly.  Cracking original songs from RB, Upward of Endtime and Griftegard, a decent Discharge cover by Solstice, an OK song by Spiritus Mortis and one stinker by Tortured Spirit (who?).

Somewhat related, Lord Vicar have a new album out. I haven't really been interested in anything other than their first album though

I had it on the other night and the music sounded great but,  a ever with Lord Vicar,  I found the vocals unlistenable.

Death is Glory... NOW! 3LP box arrived today.  My oh my,  what an absolute beaut of a release.  With every penny.  8)

Return to Rectory is getting the vinyl treatment again through Svart and as I missed it first time round I just stuck in a pre-order. It's out in January on DLP. Cool album length EP and a nice one to get on vinyl.

Svart are doing a full roundup of RB vinyl reissues.  I grabbed the'Return to the Rectory' reissue recently and I just got a notification about 'So Long Suckers' being redone at the end of April.  Probably my least favourite of their albums but the completist in me couldn't resist...

There's a cassette discography boxset on the way too for some reason, and then I think they're putting the RB reissues to bed. I need to get DIGS soon before I end up paying a ball of money for it.

That 'Death Is Glory...Now!' LP is well worth splashing out for.

I'm not a vinyl guy TBH but even the CD is getting scarce.

In the Rectory is, as someone stated years ago on MI, a masterclass in doom.
The album starts perfectly, ends perfectly and the middle bit isn't bad either.
Fuck those Svart prices though

Few bits here:

Prices rise and fall regularly (depending on stock levels, I assume) so it's worth keeping an eye on, considering how cheap postage is.

The prices are high from Svart, but fuck it,  everything I've bought from them has been of the highest quality.

The 'So Long Suckers' 4LP box just arrived. I felt slightly queasy ordering it at the time because the price  was hefty enough but, much like the 'Death is Glory... Now' box, it was worth splashing out for. It's  stunning. Can't wait to fire it on whenever I get a free couple of hours, which at this rate will be when they wheel my mummified corpse and mummified record collection into a pyramid.

There's a double sided poster included. On one side is a photo of the band.  On the reverse is a photo of Mauno Koivisto, president of Finland,  having breakfast with an orangutan in Singapore   ::)
