They've a few of those little belgian bottles in Lidl at the minute if anyone is looking.  Gulden Draak, Piraat.

It's not cheap, but if you were looking to get the same anywhere else, the usual price is way higher. I take it as a win because I love the Belgian stuff.

Other side of it, and the thing I like about beer compared with other drinks, the best of the best is still within the budget of the average person. You don't have to get a mortgage to sample the highly-rated shit.

It's a weissbeer so maybe comparable to some of them but tasty I have to see, not unpleasant at all

Was in Lidl today. Seriously good value on alcohol, some beers half price and single malt whiskies for €20... get in before the new year price hike...

Gorbachev did that, only on a greater scale, with vodka in the 80's. Increased the price by 40% overnight. He only achieved an explosion of home distilling and counterfeiting, and he eventually had to reverse the policy.

This is the Twitter, equity and just eat generation, so fuck all chance of lads  having the ingenuity and doing the same in 2021.

I'll be keeping my drinking to Fri and Sat nights mostly this year anyway. Maybe with the odd Wed night sprinkled in through boredom...
