Oh they're only there as mixers for whiskey.

That karpackie doesn't even deserve to be in the same room as the Augustiner

Big yes to Mother Mac's Guinness, it is my local for a reason.  I am just looking for a  reason to exploit the renewed Image Upload Limit really.

Get in.

I prefer the Guinness in Tom Collins' - if I'm pushed - but Mother Mac's is solid.

What are his large bottles like? Fuckin kills me when I ask for a large bottle of Guinness and the cunts say no we have the pints though, as if that's any consolation

Neither of them have the extra stout, unfortunately for you.  I know that Fennessy's out by Mary I has it but other than that I couldn't tell you where you'd find it in town anymore.

I've never had a can of Karpackie in my life so, when the brother offered me a can of it 2 weeks ago at a BBQ, I greeted it with a little disdain.

"This isn't regular Karpackie" he explained "It's their pilsner - way nicer than the gutrot one in the red can". (This pilsner is in a green can)

Took one and gave it a go. It's solid tack (within the limitations of it being a cheap macro beer) - clean, crisp, drinkable - to the point that I've bought it again since.

And, at 3.5% ABV - it's not lunatic soup.

4 x 440ml cans for a €5 in Supervalu.

Get the proper Karpackie it is the grandest.  I'm legally obligated to stand up for it though since I'm an astronaut for the stuff.

Since the playing field got levelled for all the cheap cans again lately anyway I am gone back to Tuborg and Bavaria.  The Stiegl Hell is often on special in Tesco lately so I usually grab a few bottles of that too.

Both of the Stegls they have in Tesco are solid. Would opt for them or any of the German lagers if I'm just after a nice lager because there is no cheap options anymore. Like a 4 pack of Bitburger in Supervalu is the same price as any of the piss lagers. No-brainer.

I get this in Lidl, €2.19 love the stuff, its my go to tipple nowadays...

Haven't had one of those in a while actually! Quite tasty stuff.

Decent alright. Brown Bear in Aldi is similarly tasty, the double IPA is dangerous stuff though.

The yellow label one is my go-to. I've tried a fair few types in the various shops and there aren't many as nice imo.

Had a few Wicklow Wolf Elevation yesterday. Another tasty drop.

The Crafty stout and lager are nice as well. Rye River brew that Crafty range, and they produce McGargles as well. Their Nocturne Export Stout is my new go-to stout alongside Guinness West Indies Porter. Both 6% and tasty as fuck.
