Alhambra is the best spanish lager :)

I do like a litre bottle of Mahou too
Why, of fookin why? It's the Spanish version of Budweiser only worse.....
It's like making love in a canoe. It's fucking close to water!

Each to their own really, I judge no man on what they drink

Well then, may I recommend a nice ice cold bottle of Solan de Cabras the next time you need to fix your quench.

I drink plenty of water horse and plenty of different beers

Strana from Aldi tonight. Very decent for €1.29 a bottle. Not a million miles away from Staropramen.

I saw that earlier today and didn't take a punt, I think I will now

I am making my way through some Hop House tonight, they really are tasty

Hop house is gorgeous but the after effects are not.

Yeah i have to behave myself with nearly all beers now, my hangovers are chronic

Would you blackbelts have any recommendation on decent stout alternatives to Guinness and Murphy's, I like both of them a lot but haven't dabbled much outside of that

Leann Foláin seems to be a popluar one. Solas Irish Stout, Galway Hooker stout & O'Shea's Irish Stout are ones I'd rate slightly higher but I'd be in the minority there.

I never even heard of Leann Folain i will try that if i can find it

Ah you should find Leann Foláin in most shops, just look for the O'Haras bottle with the white label. In the Guinness family their West Indies and Foreign Extra stouts are both great shouts. Cold Dark Heart in Aldi is daycent too.

That's O'Shea's rebranded right? They changed their Irish Lager to To Helles and Back too. Dunno what their IPAs are called now. Suppose if I picked up a few bottles I'd find out.

I believe so yes. Tried To Helles and Back, didn't think much of it. Think the IPA is called Trick of the Light. Haven't tried that yet. The pale ale is decent enough but that stout is easily the best of the range.

Leann Follain for sure. Not too cold though. Needs to be only a little cool or you kill the coffee and vanilla notes. My beer of choice at BYOB gigs.

With the macro breweries - forget Murphy's and Guinness in cans. A can of Beamish plain is your only man.

Had a few from the back step last night. Ambrosia.  :abbath:
