Just came across this and it sounds good to me. A Dutch doom death band from the 90s who released only this one full length,  along with a few demos and EPs. It's got a cheap, raw production that works for me, female death vox and some Beherit robot voice, church bells, loud acoustic bits... kind of cliched, but in the right way as far as I'm concerned. It's got some goodbad artwork too,  probably made for the singer's junior cert art project  8)

It is getting a tape reissue through Headsplit Records,  so I'll have to fire in an order.

The artwork and the name are truly fuckin awful. Haha. Just pressed play.

Haven't got round to that band much in the couple of years I've had it. Thanks for the reminder.

Seriously bang of Obituary off them.

It's more diverse than Obituary but there's a slight similarity I suppose. There are loads of nice little details scattered throughout the album.

It was enjoyable but I don't see myself going back to it. While definitely more diverse, I heard Obituary throughout.

Dunno,  defo got much more out of it than that. Bits of DDTM, Forest of Equilibrium and maybe stuff like Asphyx that I'm not too arsed with.  But those bits don't define the album as a whole and it moves about enough to keep my attention. Gonna grab a tape.

I'd also proudly wear a t-shirt with that spazzo artwork on it  8)

Get it in white with a perfectly square print in the middle.

Yeah, quality album. Heard about them a while back from the Brainsmasher YouTube channel and have regularly stuck this on since. I always group them in my mind with November Grief, probably because they're both just female-fronted death doom from way back when, rather than anything else, but they're both good.

That's cool, I wasn't aware of that label. They seem to have reissued a few semi-obscure classics on tape. Pretty amused to see they have a Polish band called 'Armagh' they're stocking too. They're actually fairly decent! - https://armagh.bandcamp.com/album/cold-wrath-of-mother-earth

There was also an American grind band called Drogheda. And Maniac Butcher have an album called Lucan Antikrist. I'm holding out for a Finnish funeral doom band called Belturbet.

There was an American band called Donnybrook too.
I think Donnybrook is slang for a fight in some parts of yankyland.

That's some serious bad artwork there, good sound though, liking the mix of bells, female vocals and organs. Never heard of them before.

Tape and t-shirt ordered. Loving the mongo artwork  8)
