I could do with something with a bit more welly than the sennheisers I have, which are great for mixing but sometimes I just want to feel the bass vibrating my lower jaw as well!!

What sort of budget are you looking at? Wired or wireless? Open or closed back?

Would pay a couple of hundred for a decent pair. Prefer wired or at least the option anyway. Think for pure enjoyment and not mixing I would be looking at closed back

Finally got my phone to connect to the Bluetooth in the new motor. I used to drive home in silence because of the scutter that's usually on the radio, but yesterday I had Tyr by Sabbath blasting away.

Thé wife collected the new car today, automatic with a big tablet screen for the display which was distracting me just looking at the photos.

My first car had sticky gears, a tape deck which made sure you listened to the whole album and had to be locked with a key (not that anyone would be arsed robbing it). I enjoyed it far more than any of the yokes I've had since.

Toying with the idea of getting a Lada Nivea for the 1.5 years I've left on my contract here. Same design since 1977 :)

Do it, old is gold!
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

I've a 08 320 BMW and I absolutely fucking love the thing. Wife has a new Passat and it's dirt by comparison.

There's even an ashtray in my yoke ams by touchscreen shit at all.

Way better. A real example of simple pleasure

The other day someone recommended Drunken Master 2 to me as one of the ultimate in over-the-top kung fu action. So tonight gonna smoke a whopper, have take-away and beer, and pretend I'm 24 again. My flip-switch back to bachelorhood when I have the house to myself is a veritable hair trigger.

Sounds like you're describing my current car  1997 Toyota Corolla going on for 370,000km on the clock!

Body is near rusted off by this point and what's left is held together with cable ties and hope, but the bastard runs absolutely perfectly! Got it as a beater car 10yrs ago when I first moved away just to tide me over for a year. 10yrs later and it's still going strong!

It also has a tape deck. When I mentioned that at work everyone went home and dug their old tapes out of their cupboards and gave them to me, so I have about 100 tapes in a big bag in the backseat now. Almost all 80s gold.

Nice. The coupe/e92 of that model is my favourite car!

Had no go on me for writing tunes lately.  Ended up with a free evening in the jamspace by myself.  Fucked about and tuned down for a change of scenery.  Cracked out enough riffs that are decent and enough to start about three new songs.  Block broken, a right pleasure.

Beauty! Been working away on some new stuff recently too. A bit of funeral doom for a change

Hearing's coming back in my right ear, which is nice. Walked into town today with the headphones for the first time since before the storm - and may I say that side 2 of Rush's debut is absolutley rocking. First time to hear it in about 35 years.

A new chippy opened in Edmonton that's properly owned by UK people with a proper UK menu. Proper chips, a chip butty, and a battered sausages the other day. Utterly fucking joyous when you're missing the food from back home.

Also now that WWE is on Netflix I've been watching the odd old PPV and I gotta say I've been loving it. Proper timewarp and a great way to spend a few hours. They're also great to have on in the background if you're doing something.

"In The Mood" is one of my favourite Rush songs, such a carefree banger :abbath:

Some of the lyrics are woeful but some seriously Zeppelin/Cream-esque guitar licks in evidence.
