I must give Puritanical a spin. I've only recently stated listening to DB, having picked up Stormblåst- new and old versions, both of which are the business- and listening to For All Tid a few times.

I was a big fan of Dimmu in my teens, mainly the newer stuff and followed them until In Sorte Diaboli. I still appreciate some of the bombastic stuff with ICS Vortex' clean vocals, but haven't listened to anything released since then. Stormblast 2005 is killer, I prefer it to the original.

Mayhem - DMDS. First vinyl album I ever bought, scratched and skippy to shit. Or at least it was. Just gave it a spin on my new tt for te first time and it plays fine, just the odd crackle. Don't really understand that but assuming it's the effect of a better stylus/tracking.

Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines. Beautiful 25th anniversary repress from Relapse (anniversary of relapse I can only assume)

With your jumpy LP it might be either the stylus being old or more likely the weight on the arm was wrong. If it hasn't the correct balance it'll jump out of the groove.

https://store.relapse.com/item/31709 that's the one, 25th anniversary refers to Relapse itself I believe. They had the '25' sticker on a number of represses from that time.
Thankfully my dmds playes fine now on my rega p2, it was on my parents' old pioneer that it struggled, with a stylus that I daresay was never changed in about 30 years

Edit: looking at the link, the sticker is gone now as we are past the 25yr mark but they had it on Annihilation of the Wicked too. Superb represses, got mine at Hammerheart as Relapse can be impossibly pricey to ship.

Ah that makes sense. I have the original green vinyl of ITDS so there was no way it was 25 years old 

I have a Rega Planar 2 as well. Beautiful piece of equipment and it has given me absolutely no issues at all yet.

This has been out for a while I got it at the beginning of last summer as far as I remember. Hope they do some more reissues almost everything is hard to get now and the only other one I own is Black seeds (which of course is the most important).

When did they repress Annihilation? All I saw recently from Nile was Shrines.

They did Annihilation, Shrines, Black Seeds and Catacombs all together back in 2015, I bought them in 2016 (Annihilation and Shrines, I regret not picking up the other two)
