Sometimes only a 1.7/5 album will do!

this was mentioned in the desert island discs here recently, epic and bizarre in places but fantastic.

It's my go-to album for listening on the walk home after a feed of pints.

Felt the urge to wheel out The Black album this week. While the filler material had begun to make an appearance and I really have heard Enter Sandman enough to last a lifetime, I have to say there's still a wealth of impressive material on it. Surely Hetfields finest vocal performances too.

If you really like affected sounding vocal performances  :-X He'd already started doing this on ...And Justice though. Purely in terms of vocal performance, I couldn't pick between the first three, different from each other as they are.

I've been heavily listening to South of Reality this and last week, the new Lennon-Claypool Delirium album. Just gorgeous sounds from start to finish.

Diabolical Masquerade -  Nightwork

Hapes of Morbid Angel
Desecration  - Process of Decay
Those once loyal - Bolt Thrower
Nadir - Abaddon Incarnate

Cultes des Ghoules 'Sinister'. Man,  this is one boring album... what happened to them?? So far there has been one cool riff and the album is nearly finished. I have the other three albums on vinyl but I'll be skipping over this one.  When I first gave it a listen a couple of months ago I thought I just wasn't in the mood for it but this is my third attempt and it's just bland as fuck.

This morning ST Anger came on in my car. Wish it hadn't.  Woeful.

Cool listening there Floss!

Currently blasting Engulfed "Engulfed In Obsurity" , pretty much everything  I want in a Death Metal album, overly wordy song titles aside.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Listened to the Peste Noire - Split album for the first time there. Tis class.

The Cult - Sonic Temple
Heaven & Hell - Live in Wacken
In Flames - Jester Race

They lost me with Pork Soda but the early stuff still hits the spot.
