Blood fire death is so good. My favourite by far. I’m only familiar with the stuff up to and including Twilight.
The vocals on hammerheart get a bit wobbly.
The first album is still a ripper.

I'm the opposite with Bathory, I'm not a fan of the first three at all - but I'm not a fan of black metal in general - it's only with Blood Fire Death that they/he became interesting for me. Besides, I guarantee you that I'm the only person whose favourite Bathory album is Requiem.

The Return is another great record.
It was Emperor's cover of A Fine Day To Die that really got me into Bathory so that's why BFD would be my go to.

Evilfeast- Mysteries Of The Nocturnal Forest.
Undeath- Lesions Of A Different Kind.

I enjoyed the Coroner run-through by Alan from Primordial, I had a copy of No More Color taped from my friend,we both loved that album but not aware of their other stuff.  Must check them out.

Ancient Moon - Benedictus Diabolica, Gloria Patri

A great album.

Blind Guardian - Battalions Of Fear cd

Mäleficentt - Night Of Eternal Darkness

I confess to believing that this, Lamp of Murmuur and other such black-and-white-photo-100-copies-only-one man-raw black metal kvlt stuff from the last couple of years in the U.S was a bit of an Internet hype phenomenon for people who want to buy rare vinyl to sell or photograph. This album has so far proven me very wrong, its just really great lo fi black metal with loads of uptempo catchy riffs, atmosphere and spot on production. Flies by, and far from the Transylvanian Hunger rip off I expected.
As a major plus, you can actually buy it digitally at NYP, unlike some releases which are priced at 666e, presumably to preserve the sanctity of those LPs. Predictably though, I hope to buy a vinyl copy if its repressed.

Last night in bed I listened to Capel Beulah.
They are on the same label as the above. It's so lo-fi at first I thought it has to be a joke. It sounds like you are listening to music through the walls of a neighbours house.
I stuck with it and I'm really glad I did. What at first seemed impenetrable opened up into an eerie ear worm listen. They could be calling out their weekly shipping list for all I know as the vocals are buried but it's still a great listen.

As the above post references there are lots of this type of thing out now. The Lamp Of Murmurr one was good too.

Various Ska today, King Stitt, The Pioneers, Toots and the Maytals, Tony Tribe
