Really enjoying Behexen - The Poisonous Path this one somehow passed me by. Must dig out Nightside Emanations. Overall their output has been pretty consistent.

Quite liked the Palms album, haven't reached for it in a long time, would be cool if they recorder another one.

Batushka - Litourgiya, been digging this little gem of late. Some great rip roaring black metal with religious atmosphere. I remember McLove mentioning this a few times on MI but never payed it any heed, I only listened to it for the first time recently. Great stuff.

Had this on lately myself.  Savage album, really regret not giving it a go earlier.  A real satisfying listen, fierce riffs throughout.

Haven't been able to stop listening to Hardwired for weeks now. Pretty much since the hardcopy arrived from the tour tickets promo. Now That We're Dead is stupidly earwormy.

Enjoying the Trolldom demo lately.  It was released last year I think but it's new to me.  Keyboard driven black metal that should be terrible but is really good.

Listening to Kowloon Walled City - "Container Ships" again this morning.  Often forget about this album but come back to it every few months since I first heard it.
Really savage stuff, very stripped back and bare but huge sounding.  The guitars aren't overly distorted but have that lovely single coil crack and whip off them, and the overall effect come off quite heavy but not in the traditional sense.  The album after this, "Greivances" is also excellent, hard to put one over the other.  Quite melodic but in that sort of broken, Justin Broadrick -esque, miserable melody.

Oh man, the main riff in that song "Beef Cattle" is the best. So heavy but so catchy.

Not far off KWC I've been listening to the "Hoarding" comp by the mighty Great Falls this morning. One of the most underrated and creative heavy bands out there. Savage stuff

I've had that song in my head since I got off the bus this morning haha, it's deadly.  Also the end of the title track is one of the most satisfying bits on the album, the guitar has that sound like they're ringing its neck.  So good.  Must check out that Great Falls if it's similar to KWC, don't know a heap of bands in that style but it's a style I really like.

Currently listening to disc 3 of Swallow The Sun's "Songs From The North"

Had it for ages but only started listening to it this morning.

Immortal - At the Heart of Winter

Finally cold enough out to listen to them.

Ashes Divide - Keep Telling Myself It's Alright.

The album that should have been A Perfect Circles next one.

Antichrist Siege Machine - Morbid Triumph. One of those most brutal and aggressive things to come out in the past few years. Amazing stuff.

Been a fair while since I gave that a go, must throw it on over the weekend and see if it still holds up.

Had Batushka - "Litourgiya" on this morning for the commute, since there was mention of it earlier in the thread.  Really savage album.

I enjoy that Batushka album, but does anybody else find every song sounds exactly the same? I saw them live and I still had trouble differentiating between songs. I usually end up listening to track 3 a few times and that's enough for me.

Sumac - What One Becomes.

I'd usually listen to stuff in this vein around this time of year anyway, but just bought tickets to see them in Glasgow on Paddy's day and am like a child here. Ferocious stuff.
